FFF/FF3 Integration Complete with Feature List
« Thread Started on Jan 11, 2008, 9:05pm »

I've been waiting A few days before posting this here. But its just about time.

Here's the link to the post I made there, I will be updating it again shortly. : http://fightforadjl.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=130

Here is what it says:

I'm happy to announce that I have just finished integrating the FFKP and FFADJL sites together. Both sites consist of the same user base on registration. Everyone currently registered should find that their exact same login here will also work at the FFKP site. New users upon registration will be registered at both sites after an administrator activates the account.

Please note that Administrator activation is on. All accounts with A email address and username that seems to not match that of A spam bot will be activated by A human with no further review of your account information. The time for activation may take up to 24 hours, depending on the time of day you register. All information is confidential, and administrators will not share your information with anyone under any circumstances.

The way that I integrated the user base, your accounts nor post counts are not synchronized between the two sites (passwords, etc). Therefore if you make A change to your user profile, your change will not be reflected on both sites. You would have to make the same change twice for it to show up. I felt that many people would want to be able to have different avatars and signatures on each site, and this will allow for that with A little extra inconvenience to make changes twice where you wish.

Links have been added to major sites that I know of involving the KP Fandom and our partnership. I will be more than happy to add A link to the tv.com forum or other ADJL forums/ KP forums upon request. If the list gets too big, I may make A category for these links.

NEW ADDITIONS that I plan on posting there shortly:

1. Completed email program... Yes, if you login, you can send unlimited emails. I am still unsure if the media program is going to have A default text, but the others do.

2. you@fightforkp.com and you@fightforadjl.com address forwarders. This will be in A new section later tonight or first thing tomorrow morning. Basically here's your chance for an email address!

3. Mass emailing to keep everyone up to date. Elvisjj asked me about such A feature. Here at RS, not everyone is for the fight, therefore it would be inappropriate to send out A mass email (with the help of Ron or Serge). So anyone who registers at FFADJL or FFKP.com will be able to receive any news of major break throughs in our fight directly from Elvisjj.

4. Eventually avatar hosting and other cool stuff will come to these sites. Perhaps an episode guide, and such will make its way there. It all depends on what everyone wants.

5. Major postings and such will also be copied to the new FFKP forum at http://fightforkp.com/forum . As we all discussed, using it is A 50/50, and it will be strictly used for FFF business and announcements for now until people actually decide its worth using.

6. Anyone who has already registered at the ADJL forum will notice that their same login will work at the FFKP forum and site.

Thats all for me right now.

I like it all, except the 50/50 stuff. I mean, did everyone agree on posting some stuff there? I haven't kept the best track of that thread.

Anyway, I prefer is we did all the FFF stuff here. I'm worried that not everyone is gonna want to keep track of 2 forums, and some people might not even bother registering. I'm just concerned for the fight, is all. I prefer to keep it here.

well, people really are nuts not for registering. Email program and other things require it :P

Now as for the forum, thats there solely as A major announcements place to make us professional at least to A degree (at least right now, I don't want to see our hidden HQ move from RS). The reason for announcements there is that anyone registered can get personal email updates from Elvisjj, something he wanted badly ;)

Also, just A little bit of A thing, but you guys will find the FFF section just A teensy bit less difficult for the general public to find now, as I made A request to ADMIN at RS to put A section between the General KP discussion section and the General discussion section.

I wasn't able to get this done, but Serge and Dracko came up with A BETTER idea, and just made A visible tag for the FFF section that shows up on the home page.

Thanks, SERGE! You and Dracko ROCK in Dolby Stereo!!!

Having the Fight For Five more visible on the front page is what I ever wanted. This is truly A Great compromise, and I am more than pleased about it. You are the Best! :D
