For The Record: I do not, nor do I have the funds for, a capture device of sorts. So suggesting that is not an option.
...So here's how I'm ripping Some of my videos, for Gamecube games and such:
However, Here's the problem... Whilst I ran my laptop on Windows XP with an older copy of said ripping program the Video and Audio work fine when played back, however, Since Upgrading the laptop to Windows 7, and using the latest version of said ripper (Ultimate version 5.0.51 build-1023 the website said it was Win7 Compatible) It will rip the disc just fine, however upon playback of said videos the video plays just fine, but the Audio only appears for about 5 seconds at worst, to 2 minutes at best.
The disc plays just fine on other DVD players, as I've said above, so I'm sure that it isn't the Disc, or the recorder itself. So It narrows it down to either something being up with the DVD ripper program, Or Windows 7 hates my 4 year old laptop more than I think...
Anybody got any suggestions on what I should do? Otherwise I'l not be uploading any Luigi's Mansion until this is Fixed and/or I find an alternate way of sorting this stuff out.
Just to clarify: here's is one of the videos I've ripped recently that's lost it's sound some 5 seconds in...

- I have my Gamecube plugged into my DVD recorder
- I record my playings using DVD+RW discs.
- When Done, I test the DVD on a couple of DVD players to test if the recordings have worked and the disc isn't faulty.
- I then Rip it Using Xilisoft DVD Ripper, after which I do my editing and stuff before posting it to the 'Tube...
