It takes me 3 days to get anything from NY to CA, USPS is great! Fedex and UPS however are much slower unless you ship by overnight air which I do frequently (most of the stuff I send needs to get to their location fast)

That's awesome, Phil! Ooh, my contribution to the card will probably take up be 2x2 inches. Do we have to write around that post-it?

Keeping a journal of it's movement in this thread seems like the best idea. Especially with photos

I just now (like in the last 10 minutes) got a package that basically had the green things shown in a photo above, a blue Drakken photo thingy, and manila envelope to send to the person after me on the list.
I just realized who. Drakkenfan. I recognized the first name, the last name to an extent, and the state. Hehe.

Ditto, except I have no idea who it is I'm sending this envelope to - I don't recognize the name.

Now, as I'm the person waiting in FL, I'll now be stalking my mailboxes until the cards arrive. XD

Oh, Ashley, if there are 2 cards going around, be careful about a prepaid envelope. I took the envelope inside the big one to the post office, and it was an extra 31 cents to mail it

I picked up the cards today, here in Florida. I'll get them signed and sent off probably tomorrow or Thursday at the latest.
Then they're off to CA.

I think they're supposed to go from Florida to Texas.
I'm not sure, but it makes more sense to send from Florida to Texas and Texas to California, but I don't know.

The envelope with the address I have plainly states California on it. Trust me, I'm holding it in my hot little hand right now. ^^
So, it's going cross-country.... then back again? Well, at least the cards can't say they didn't get to see the sights.
I'm on my way to the post office to get another stamp or two for the envelope after I finish up here, then off it goes~
I took some pictures, and I might post them up tomorrow. Blurring the addresses, etc, of course. As proof of their pit-stop on the journey.

Hey finely got to a computer to check on the progress of the card, I took my sisters lap-top and it did not have a wireless hook-up; I was in Silverton, CO and I am now in Rosemount, MN for a wedding. It looks like it is moving along as planed; I had the card crisscross the country for safety so no one will mail to someone in the same State. I will be back home on the 6th and I will check on how much room is left on the card for signing before I send out to anyone who joined up late ( sorry ) I am sorry if anyone has to pay extra; I went to the post office and had them weigh all the envelopes so this would not happen,

I was expecting to pay the full cost, so you paying part of it was a bonus

I sent it off this morning, and the stamps on it were enough to cover postage -- I weighed it and triple-checked the math before I sent it off -- it was actually two cents less expensive than the stamps on it were worth. It was a nice surprise -- I too, was also expecting to pay for the entire postage of sending the cards off to their next destination. Also before I forget - img518.imageshack.us/img518/8964/dscn9941bm8.jpg - Proof that the cards made a pit-stop in FL!
