In that order. I feel much the same way. Especially since I saw the trailer for it. I expected as much. Well, the way I see it, if we do that (The amnesty) not only will it be a gigantic middle finger to all the people who had to wait years to immigrate legally here, but it also still leave a massive blind spot in our defenses (I view this mostly as a military issue). It did, and it makes sense. Pretty much the same for me. Though I'm not sure who Zede07/ziwu is. OK, let me say this from a purely religious perspective. Evolution degrades the power and the wisdom of God enormously by leaving Him out of the equation, since God knows every possible outcome of every possible event that could ever possibly happen as well every impossible outcome of every impossible event that could never happen (He knows everything, period) the idea that He would dawdle around for billions of years to get where he was going is just nuts. Plus, in the Bible it says that before man sinned the world was a perfect place without injury, petulance, violence, or death, directly in contradiction with the theory of evolution which requires death and destruction at it's most fundamental levels. That's a purely religious argument right there. No scientific points whatsoever, this is because... well, every time something scientific (discovery, law, observable data) is brought up that opposes evolution people somehow come up with an excuse to dismiss the findings. After all, the only other reasonable theory is Creationism, and that would require morality - something I'm sure many people would fight tooth and nail not to have.

I can see your point, and understand the legal immigrants POV, but what the heck are we supposed to do with 3 million illegals? SG-1 or Atlantis? Yes. Fave episodes of each? Well, the season 1 finale/season 2 opener of SG-1's always been a favorite of mine, as are Window of Opportunity and some others. The Exodus-Enemies-Threshold arc is brought down only by the fact that the person whose death Teal'c is trying to avenge is ... his mistress. (Hey, he was married when he reunited with Shau'nac in "Crossroads." ) I also love the parody episodes "Wormhole X-treme!" and "200." There might be some others, but these are among my top eps... Atlantis? Well, there's the premiere episode, "Rising," as well as the two-parter "The Storm." "Before I Sleep" and the Season 2 two-parter with Ford and the Hive ship also rate highly in my book.

Hey, a new Ask Me thread?
What do you like about Zita?

What do you like about Zita? Well, I do find her physically attractive, as I have a certain thing for black-haired, brown-skinned ladies. She seems like a nice girl, and the fact that she likes video games, not to mention that her ethnic group (Hispanics/Latin Americans) have traditionally been Catholic can't hurt, either. (Some time ago, I actually started a general threat on whether or not people were attracted to people of a particualr skin/hair color, ethnicity, etc. Can't seem to find it nowadays. )

No, though I wish I did. And no, it's not too personal.

YAY, EVOLUTION DEBATE!!! ;D Must... resist... urge.. to... rant!! (I love this stuff). Please do not consider this an attack, just an attempt at clarification. First of all, evolution is a theory, yes, just like gravity. And everything else in science for that matter. At no point does a theory make the transition to 'fact', as facts, or evidence, is what's used to support or disprove a theory. A 'theory' is simply a collection of hypotheses that seeks to explain the same phenomenon, allowing for testable predictions. Second, to say that the mountain of evidence that support evolution is vast is an understatement. They number in the tens of thousands, and span multiple scientific disciplines, including, but not limited to, paleontology (the vast fossil records), embryology, biogeography and molecular biology (DNA, baby! , to name a few. Evidence has been found where one was not looking for it, particularly in genetics. I am referring to my personal favorite, chromosome #2. It is quite beautiful, and quite definitive. Also notable are the thousands upon thousands of transitional fossils that have been found over the centuries. What this adds up to is that when scientists treat evolution as fact, they do so with good reason. There is no controversy. Lastly, there is your (Cody's) religious argument, or, rather, opinion. I would warn that you make a bold claim when proposing to know what is necessary in God's plan. But your claim that creationism and evolution stand in opposition to each other is not new at all. This is a matter of interpretation, and I find it largely uninteresting, but I will refer you to this. Good old Johnnie 2. I miss him. Apologies to NinjaNaco for ranting in his thread... I just hope it's not redundant.

Hey, it's a post in my thread. Also, Cody won't be posting on this board until Serge resigns. Do you have any questions for me? (If not, feel free to make some up! )

Pfft, drama! Sure, I can make stuff up. Lets see... - Do you like to fly? - Why do you hate postmodernism? - Do these pants make my arse look big? - Is evolution awesome, or just great? - Cats or dogs? - If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to hear it, does it make a sound? - If you were a girl, in a relationship with yourself, what would make you break up with... you? ( In other words, what, in your own opinion, makes you unlovable? Pick your favorite. ;D (should be interesting)) - Global warming: hot or not? That should do for now.

Yes. Because it denies the possibility of a universal, objective truth. I don't know, as I don't know what you look like, nor should I care, as I am neither your girlfriend, fiancee, or wife. No comment. Dogs, though I do like cats.

Do you really hate postmodernism? If so, why? Edit: Oh, you answered this one two posts above me. Okay then, most boring class you've ever had to take?
