So, in short: why should this silly canon thing stop someone from having fun? *applauds*

So, in short: why should this silly canon thing stop someone from having fun? You call shipping those horrendous crack ships having fun? lmfao.... I would hate to be you...Sounds like a real dull life. Actually, if you'll just read the rest of my post and not just quote the things that you want to see because they don't contradict your already set views, you'll see that we don't see eye to eye on most things at all. I especially like how you see fit to edit out the rest of that part about KiGo and Drakkim. I may personally think ships like KiGo and Drakkim are WTF!Crack ships, but why in the world should I go around bothering people about it? They can do whatever they want, just as I expect to be able to do what I want. Somebody thinks those ships are interesting, just as I may think that some ships are interesting that make others gag.Can you see it now? The people who take 'subtext' way too seriously are thankfully a minority, as are the people who take canon way too seriously. Please don't quote my posts. Your hate is fogging up my karma. I can quote whatever and whoever i feel like. Also i didnt edit anything around in your post. You don't have to quote everything. lmfao. So sorry...I really don't care what you say.

Also i didnt edit anything around in your post. Let's take a look at what Ninnik originally said: I may personally think ships like KiGo and Drakkim are WTF!Crack ships, but why in the world should I go around bothering people about it? And here's what you "Quoted" her on: I may personally think ships like KiGo and Drakkim are WTF!Crack ships. You took out the comma after WTF!Crack Ships and replaced it with a period, completely cutting off the rest of her sentence which contained her point. Not only that, it's an incomplete sentence. But you're basically saying that it's okay to take people's words out of context and end it where you see appropriate. Yeah...I don't think that's a good thing.

So sorry...I really don't care what you say. Then why are you so desperate to argue with us just because we think differently to you? v v

Ninnik, his dogma's chasing your karma. ;D You call shipping those horrendous crack ships having fun? Well, yeah... I wrote this, which isn't the best of the few fics I've done, but it was fun. I would hate to be you...Sounds like a real dull life. But why stick to only one ship? You may like pineapples, but fruit salad is even better. Drifting similies aside, I don't know why so much of fanfiction is about shipping, but it is fun to connect these characters together, especially in unusual ways (if you can make it work.) I can quote whatever and whoever i feel like. Also i didnt edit anything around in your post. You don't have to quote everything. lmfao. So sorry...I really don't care what you say. I'll quote what you said, but don't care what you say? Huh? That aside: Happy Birthday, Slicknick.

I put a period instead of a comma. I'm completely taking what she said out of context. Give me a break. Here is this better... I may personally think ships like KiGo and Drakkim are WTF!Crack ships, I mean i'm sorry that i like my quotes being complete sentences. Changing that comma to a period did nothing.

Actually, it did. It made you look like you were deliberately editing another person's post to strengthen your own arguement, disregarding anything that might be contradictory, thus weakening your arguement in the first place.
But, seriously, let it go. It ain't worth it, Nick.

Why does slick ignore my posts?

Why does slick ignore my posts? Because they make sense. Personally, the most fun I have is on pairings I make up for myself. So someone online can tell me that's dull - but boy I sure have myself some fun I can't deny.

If anything, I would think that shipping merely the canon ships would be more dull.
No creativity, no eclecticism. Yay.

Maybe it's less effort because someone else does all the work for you.

It certainly is easier from a fanart/fanfic standpoint.

It certainly is easier from a fanart/fanfic standpoint. Unless one belongs to the group of people who flush characterization down the toilet when they start writing. Looking at some non-canon fics I've read, it's pretty obvious that some people put no effort into their work. I mean, look at the majority of the Monkey Fist/Ron fics. All the great potential for angst, violence, issues, denial and "Do I really feel this way or is it the MMP pulling us together?" ponderings are shoved aside to make way for some hot loving or fluff.

Yeah, that's why I generally stray away from non-canon fanfics in ANY genre that I read. And for the reason you stated.

I mean i'm sorry that i like my quotes being complete sentences. Changing that comma to a period did nothing. It did: it was selective editing, and it changed the message. Here's a example: Crack Ships. I find it funny Didn't change any of the words, or even the grammar, but it completely reverses the message. It certainly is easier from a fanart/fanfic standpoint. I mean, look at the majority of the Monkey Fist/Ron fics. All the great potential for angst, violence, issues, denial and "Do I really feel this way or is it the MMP pulling us together?" ponderings are shoved aside to make way for some hot loving or fluff. I'm thinking of Pigblossom's Who's The Monkey Master?: Violence, issues, denial, blind panic, "Do I really feel this way or is it the MMP pulling us together?" ponderings, hot loving and lines like: That's some good fanfic there. Pigblossom's stuff is a good argument for extra-canon fun, both humour and drama, without going OOC too much.

Why do people even bother trying to reason with Nick anymore? You might as well be trying to put out a forest fire by whizzing on it.
