I mentioned this on Reddit a while back due to a concern about something I love dearly. Kim Possible was one of the first cartoons that hooked me into what is known as Nerd Culture and credit this show for my love of animation and the art of voice acting! So I ask this out of concern, Is Kim Possible BEcoming a Toxic Fandom similar to that of Star Wars, Marvel, or Rick and Morty?
When Disney announced Sadie and Sean as the leads, there was backlash against both of them, more so on Sadie as she was relatively unknown at the time, and let's face it those complaining that the actors weren't born when the show aired were in the single digits.
Then the negative comments about Tayler playing Shego, saying she wasn't "hot" or "curvy" enough to play her, similar to that of Gal Gadot when she was announced to play Wonder Woman. (Yes I had my doubts as well, but I will admit that she blew my expectations and played an amazing Shego!)
