Okay, so far I really love Knoppix. I even use it right now. I got only a few problems: - It's a pain in the youknowwhat to install programs (but I will learn the commandos sooner or later ) - So far I couldn't make my printer run - Everytime I can't install a program or a driver won't run like I want, I just don't know if it's because I'm running it from a Live DVD (with permanent image on my harddrive), because my HD is NTSF formatted or it's Linux itself. And until I couldn't manage to solve these problems, I can't get rid of windows, so I guess I won't switch permanent before 2008. But whatever. I can wait

It's a Canon printer, so a Linux driver shouldn't be too hard to find.

It's a Canon printer, so a Linux driver shouldn't be too hard to find. it really depends..... if its a multifunction its goin to be quite hard.... usually *nix driver support are OS limited i.e. the builds might be for some distros only, but in extreme cases u may have to get the raw source and build it from scratch (which isnt too hard if you can navigate your way round bash) usually drivers are for more common or business like printers like laser printers and basic inkjets and the like, but yes have a crack at the manufacturers site to see if they built one anyway. gl ! ;D

Thanks a lot! For any reason this isn't available on the Nacospeak website, but at the link you gave me, I found immediately what I needed! Let's see if I can make it run.
