Yeah it aired this morning on The CW with two episodes. They are good and the Electro Spidey fight was fantastic! Plus the humor is great, I literally burst into laughter with Spidey's shoe situation. Lots of homages to the Lee/Ditko area of the comics and the movies as well, an obivious homage to Spider-Man 2 is present and the opening titles feature a recreation to the cover of Spidey's first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15. Some characters are introduce before they become major villains such Norman Osborn, Otto Octavious, Flint Marko, Eddie Brock and Curt Connors. I like this verison of Eddie Brock, he is not a jerk like his original 616/90's cartoon/movie/Ultimate counterparts, it is going to be sad when he actually becomes Venom. Gwen getting slightly jealous when Peter starts to charm Liz is great. Victor Cook has hinted that Gwen's fate might follow her comic book self which Mr Cook himself is very melancholy. I wasn't too sure what to make of them turning Liz Allen into a hispanic, caught me off guard because I thought Sally was Liz, but it is nice to see some diversity as one should expect in New York. Can't wait for next week's episode with The Lizard. Plus can't wait for Mary Jane to make her famous 'Face it Tiger, you just hit the jackpot' entrance.(A line absent from the film trilogy). MJ's Aunt Anna makes an appearance in the first episode. Yeah Aunt May and Anna Watson are going to set up Peter and MJ on a blind date. Still will have to wait for the big boys to show up, Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Venom. Link to intro: youtube.com/watch?v=fq6wbypWQKo

This week's episode tops both the first two. Classic Parker luck, awesome Spidey/Lizard fight. Finally Spidey actually throws and lands a punch. A good amount of drama and character developement. Lizard transformation was brillant and the ending of the episode is pure Spidey and easily tops 'Night of the Lizard' from the 90's series. Again I urge everyone here to check it out. Next weeks episode villain is The ShockerMy Rating on this week's episode: Natural Selection - 10/10

This week's episode finally teases MJ with Peter ducking and avoiding meeting her like the original books. Guess we will be getting the famous 'jackpot' scene very soon. The old Parker luck is still nagging him almost losing all of his friends at school, Harry and Gwen. Norman Osborn is getting a much bigger role now that he is hire to create supervillains. Nice nod to Peter trying to ask Betty Brant out and the Bugle cast is finally going to make regular appearances. Montana as The Shocker wasn't so bad. Hopefully Herman will take on the role of The Shocker later on if he is introduce.
This week's episode rating:
Market Forces: 8/10
Next week's episode main villain Flint Marko/Sandman, who will be voice by KP's John DiMaggio.

Ok, as already reported in this thread and in dracko's Dr. Drakken news this Saturday, John DiMaggio, will be voicing the main villain for this week's episode of The Spectacular Spider-Man. He also voices Hammerhead. He has already appear in the first, and fourth episodes of the series thus far.
This is the fifth episode called 'Competition', Flint Marko officially becomes the Sandman. Hopefully KP and Futurama fans will check it out. It airs this Saturday on The CW's KidsWB at 10:00/9:00 central. (I sound like a TV Ad)
Review this Saturday!

Competitions
John DiMaggio's Flint Marko finally becomes Sandman! After having a short cameo in the first episode and a short role in the fourth we finally get Sandman in full animated glory since Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. Pre-Doc Ock Dr. Octavious shows off his arms preluding to his future role as a super villain. Peter and Harry try out for the football team, and some developement in the Peter/Gwen relationship...and another tease of Mary Jane. Can't wait for Peter's jaw to drop when he finally sees her. Spidey and Sandman's fights were great and animation fluid, few nods to the film trilogy and no this version of the Sandman does not follow the film verison. He is more in line with his comic book counterpart, no ties to Peter Parker and no family. Overall I give this episode a 9/10.

Okay one week without any new episodes wasn't so bad but this week we finally got a new epi.!
This week's episode: The Invisible Hand
Alex O'Hirn becomes the Rhino and has a great showdown with Spidey, and Rhino's defeat was quite humorous...great use of Spidey's sense of humor and wit. Captain Stacy makes his debut also we learn the Big Man's true identity: Tombstone(is he really Big Man?) and does he give Spidey a whipping. In the end Peter got turn down by Betty Brant to go to is Fall Formal, and Gwen is going to the dance with Eddie Brock...things don't seem to be going well for Pete. First he learns that Tombstone has begun to wage war on him with supervillains and no date but wait...Aunt May sets him up with miss wonderful personality. Mary Jane finally makes her debut in a Little Black Dress! Guess Peter, for all his luck hit the Jackpot.
10/10

Greg Weisman has said on the Crawlspace Podcast that he hopes to tell Peter's high school years within 65 episodes and hopefully get to do the College Years afterwards perhaps in Direct to DVD release along with the more adult-oriented episodes. I think Disney should atleast do something like this for KP.(Not that KP needs to be adult-oriented.) Catalysts synopsis:Airs April 26th!

The Green Goblin makes his debut on April 26th. For KP fans an interesting piece of trivia last week's episode The Invisible Hand was directed by Dave Bullock who was storyboard artist on KP for episodes like 'Motor Ed', 'Sick Day', "Bueno Nacho' and 'The Twin Factor'.

Two New Promo Images: The network also provided the following press release, as seen below. The Spectacular Spider-Man fans get a refresher course this Saturday, April 19 with a pair of encore episodes on Kids' WB!/The CW – "Natural Selection," featuring Lizard at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT, followed by Sandman's first episode, "Competition," at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT. However, an all-time favorite begins several weeks of new, original episodes next Saturday, April 26 when Green Goblin makes his grand entrance on The Spectacular Spider-Man at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT on Kids' WB! on The CW. The episode takes place on the night of the Midtown High Fall Formal, and Peter Parker finds his overconfidence is nearly his undoing – as both a teenager and a super hero. While his date, Mary Jane Watson, threatens to invert Midtown's social structure, Pete lets her popularity go to his head. So when the mysterious, murderous Green Goblin tries to force L. Thompson Lincoln (a.k.a. Tombstone) to step down as NYC's Big Man of crime, will Spider-Man take this new threat seriously enough – or will he be so cocky that he loses his big head?!Can't wait for this episode. It's the Green Goblin, Spidey's arch-foe and here is to an old fashion showdown. I want to see Gwen's reaction to Peter having MJ on his arm, aswell as Eddie, Harry, Flash, Liz and rest of the Midtown High. Plus the GG just kicks ***! He has Steve Blum providing his voice. I urge everyone to atleast try and check out the show on Saturday or anyway like Youtube/torrent download. Greg and the crew outdo themselves with each sequential episode. Check out the Spider-Man Crawlspace Podcast with guests Greg Weisman and Josh Keaton(voice of Peter/Spidey) in the link a few post above.
