I'm going to go with no. We may percieve certain acts as selfless, but there is always a selfish spin you can put on your actions.
I don't even think giving your own life up is completely selfless because you probably envision yourself as a great martyr and then feel there is something to be gained from your selfless act. I don't think people would perform acts like this unless they felt some sort of pride from their good deed.

Well, what about like - parents rescuing their kids from something eg. fire, drowning? What if they're not after any personal gain other than the survival of something they care about?

Then who is it for? Is it for their children's lives or is it so that they don't have to lose something they love. It's technically selfish. I wouldn't blame anyone for doing that though :D
