You're joking right? the cowl, the pointed, elongated headlights running down from the far, far, forward set A-pillar, The bobbed (on the front side(!)) rear fenders..

I kinda see the similarities, but it's not dead-on... If I wasn't on my laptop, I'd dish out a few cropped pictures in the areas that aren't even close. I'll probably do it later tonight when I get on my workstation.

Is anybody else reminded of the Lexus Concept car from Minority Report? I knew that car looked uncannily familiar! Good eye.

I'll probably do it later tonight when I get on my workstation. what would the point be? it's a cartoon. You could say that "American Starmaker" wasn't dead-on to American Idol as well... they're more similar than they are dissimilar, by a large margin, especially in the proportions and stance- look at the cowl, the headlights, the rear fender lines, and the extreme cab-forward shape.

The overall proportions of the RSL2.0 are current VW Beetle. The trimmings are uncannily similar, though.
From the back, the Sloth is 100% beetle.

Oh wow. Think it's a coincidence? I've just spent the last few seconds freaking out (I can be overly dramatic) about the similarities. Nice find! Although I don't think I saw Minority Report...for some reason I kept thinking of The Borne Identity, and I kept trying to remember a crazy red car that didn't exist ;D

The greenhouse shape and the interior (for sure!) especially remind me of a New Beetle. They've definitely shortened the shape from the Lexus version, most of the shape does say Beetle to me, except the nose of the car. The bobbed nose that drops straight from the windsheild to the front bumper with no kind of hood on the "2.0" are doesn't seem beetle like at all to me. I haven't seen any pictures of the car from the back that suggest it's especially beetle-like, a lot of the shape for sure but the details I don't really see it, maybe the exhaust tips if you count the Beetle RSi And no I don't think it's a coincidence I'd say it's pretty obvious that it's styled after the Lexus car, with some shortening/heightening to make it a four seater, and has a New Beetle interior.

what would the point be? it's a cartoon. You could say that "American Starmaker" wasn't dead-on to American Idol as well... American Starmaker is an intentional parody of American Idol. This doesn't seem to be the case with Kim's car being similar to a Lexus. I really don't see how anyone can say the look is uncanny, because it really isn't... The only similarity I see is the rear fender style and the headlights... sorry, everything else just doesn't fit... at least to me. KP's car... Front bumper is beveled inward... instead of completely rounded Intake vent style is completely different Windshield stretches all the way to the rear Side windows... well, that one's hard to explain, just look at it... Fog lights... that's getting picky, but still... The body gets wider toward the rear, but that could be an illusion Much more compact, like a Beetle... but not. Who knows, maybe MBS decided to base their car designs off the Lexus, but changed it up. If that's the case, they changed it enough for me to see more differences than similarities, though... -EDIT- I gotta stop multitasking, takes too long to type...

try looking at the overall style and shape of the car, not the intake vent style... one look at the cut lines of the fenders alone makes it obvious. Look at the shape of the grey area below the windsheild (the cowl). Look at the headlights specifically how they end the shape of the A-pillar. Also the entire shape of the front of the car, how it is a snub nose leading directly into the windsheild. (while the rest of the car is elongated, this car is very front heavy shape wise, not a wedge like most if not all modern designs) From the reverse angle you can see that the front fender has a similar cut that KP's car also has. Those features aren't shared by any other car on the road, just these two.
anyone could make just as similar a list for any other part of KP, that's my point with American Starmaker. It's very obvious that the car isn't an exact carbon copy, neither is American Starmaker or any other reference on the show.
or ask what any of the other "Car Guy" people on here think- I'd be curious to hear Grandpa RD's opinion.
in fact I'd even bet you the VIP's would agree.
