The Full Monkey
This episode is more complex than it seems, because there’s a lot happening in it.
I’ll take the parts I love the most and have an opinion about bit by bit as they come, to get it all down.
I't was never my intention to write down every little detail, but everything Monty does in this episode adds a lot to the character and says much about him. A lot of questions popped up on the way, so I'm trying to put them up as they come, hopefully it'll lead to some discussion.

An analysis
Monty, as Wade states, has escaped (most likely from jail) and he has headed to China: he’s got a new plan in mind, involving yet another mysterious artifact.
It’s fun to ponder about how an breakout/escape à la Monty could be like.
Next, we have Monty breaking into a museum for artifacts, in China. A banner says ‘’Happy year of the monkey’’, and actually, ‘The Full Monkey’ aired in 2004, which WAS the year of the monkey! That made me create a complicated theory on the possibility of what Monty’s birthyear could be:
It has been made clear from the VIP’s that Monty’s in his early 40’s. Say, Monty could be 41-42 in 'MFS', which aired in 2002. Based on the theory that the KP timeline is present, and this event happened in 2004, counting decades backwards, his birthyear would then be 1960 or 1961.
OK, back to the episode. I’m nuts, and I have no life. XD
Monty opens the roof scuttle, and walks towards the screen in the silent, dark, threatening way that is so classic for him. There’s no speech, and we get yet another close-up of Monty’s face and evil, yet dashing grin. This close-up has always been beloved!
Our ninja thief then removes the display case/glass protecting the treasure he’s after: an amulet of jade that has the power to turn the wearer into a complete monkey. REMOVES the case. Carefully. In a later event, in ‘Oh No! Yono!’, Monty doesn’t care about being cautious, and wreaks havoc of pure pleasure instead. When the time comes, we’ll go more into his character development. Monty reveals directly that he wants his transformation from human to monkey to be complete. That means he’s not satisfied with being only a hybrid mutant.
Team Possible enters the scene, led by a trail of banana peels. Monty’s quick to blame a visibly guilty individual among his monkey ninjas. He reveals its name is CHIPPY. It shows for a second time after the breakdown in ‘MNiS’ that he has a soft spot for his minions, and it’s yet another proof supporting their relationship. Hmmmm. Do the other monkeys have names too? It’s just too adorable.
As Kim and Ron attempt to stop Monty, Kim accidentally becomes the unfortunate victim for the amulet- and she now has a curse mark attached to her. Guess who will turn full monkey! Wait…Kim? Why not Ron?
Before he leaves the spot, Monty states that the opportunity to become a full monkey king isn’t lost for him. He’s been studying his object of dreams carefully as usual, of course. Oh, his method is a totally ruthless, yet effective one, as we’ll come back to shortly.
We suppose Monty knows Kim is living in Middleton from the time they first met, in Cambodia, and Monty could have found out when he was on her website anyway. So Middleton is next stop, as Monty wants the amulet, and has to keep an eye and track of Kim at any cost. His Lordship checks in at Middleton Motor Lodge, to have a place to stay until he has got what he came for.
I love how Monty uses his real name, in a polite manner, as the clerk clearly refers to Monty as ‘’Lord Fiske’’. Also, do you think this clerk guy knows who Monty is, since he asks if he has some business in town? It’s an interesting thought. I think Vampirenaomi put up the question a while ago.
Monty is asked what type of room he’d like. Only Monty could have asked for something like a dojo. A DOJO! XD
But he has to take what’s second best; gym & spa.
Meanwhile, Monty’s monkey minions have found their way to Middleton High, and capture Kim. They seem to have been ordered to do so by their master, who, as usual, takes care of other things and risks as little as possible.
Well back at the Motor Lodge, we get a view of the gym room, where Monty has made himself quite at home- there are monkey statues and the altar, to mention some details. Makes you wonder how on Earth he got so much stuff into the place in so little time. Looks like a lifetime stay, while it isn’t. XD
Always the gentleman, Monty offers Kim some steaming hot tea. Hey, he would NEVER have served tea if it was Ron who was sitting there! Ladies, and especially WORTHY ladies get a sweeter treatment, don’t they? And…it’s so deliciously British- Monty keeps his root traditions close to heart, being part monkey means nothing in that case. Besides- it’s like anesthetic. Calm down your hostage before the operation starts. Yeah, right.
He is somewhat offended by Kim’s discomfort with being turned into a monkey, he reveals to us (in his EMOTIONAL way- what body language!) that becoming full monkey is his dreambesides becoming almighty and rule the world, of course. He wanted to get simian hands and feet in the first place, which made him more monkey-like (with the Mystical Monkey Power transformation that caused further cosmetic ‘’monkeyosity’’). So it's not surprising that he wants to become as much like them as possible, and now it means becoming complete. He’s serious, you know. Back at the museum in China, Monty stated that it was not too late for getting the magic back, and he indicates it will be ‘’painful’’.
A primitive trap cage may look silly to you, but it proves to be nifty as it prevents Kim from doing an escape. Monty thought of everything.
And now; show off. Right in front of Kim. Monty LOVES to show off his skills and Tai Shing Pek Kwar moves at its fullest, while bragging about being better than anyone, and of course we enjoy it too. : P
Can’t say the same about Kim.
Chippy is still active, and seems to have quite a good time with Ron, who, while unaware of his friend being a real monkey, seems make progress when it comes to getting over his monkey phobia. As the REAL Ultimate Monkey Master, it means he’s getting closer to the top. Soon, the fear will no longer be an obstacle.
Cinema and snacks, Mexican food, laughing. Chippy has probably never had so much fun before as now! Aw!
Kim succeeds at getting free from the cage, but Monty’s not bothered by that. She just can’t escape from the room while he’s watching her. After another great piece of laughter from our man monkey, it’s time to end the conversations and go harsh.
Monty has now dressed himself in a red robe. Earlier, Wade showed a picture illustrating the amulet and how it works. The person that wears it in the picture has a similar robe, and since it’s for becoming a so-called ‘’Monkey King’’, the robe could be something of a king’s robe.
I like to think Monty bought or stole it in China while he was there, as a sort of accessories to the amulet. Anyways, it really fits Monty to wear these big-sleeved robes. His first battle suit was Chinese Tai-Chi style-ish, and it was black AND red. It's those two colours I've come to associate with Monty. They fit him, and while black is dark, threatening and mysterious, red is hot, powerful and high-tempered. Speaking of the robe, there was speculation on why Monty’s arms look like they’re covered in fur. It’s NOT fur. It’s actually his old, trademark monkey kung fu ninja garb he has under there. The lines on the arm ties are missing, so that it looks solid black. And you can easily see how the garb is visible in the ‘V’ , or neck area of Monty’s robe.
When Monty now says there is only one way to remove the mark, and judging on how he for a second time puts his intentions as ''a painful way'', he probably wanted to cut that skin part off her with the amulet mark on it. Or even…put her life to an end. Two flies swatted. It’s dark. It’s ruthless. It’s so sick and wrong in an evil way that it’s hard to accept. However, it’s still amusing how Monty never directly says he’ll do something like murder or violation. Of course not. He always has his fancy, intelligent ways to put his words. Sure, we don't want blood and gore and sharp objects, so we have Monty doing his sweet talk instead. Pain can be many things. I like how Kim mocks Monty for his goal being rather….primitive. It’s admirable how he takes it so well. While it stings to be stepped on by someone who don’t get your burning enthusiasm for a passion, it also shows much of how Monty stands out in the KP universe, as one who’s walked the opposite way of the modern era.
The next thing that happens is that Kim escapes. It’s awesome to see how Kim uses both herself and an object from the room to make the way open.
Kim is stuck on her chair, but a gym room offers those bars for weightlifting, and sends Monty flying backwards with one. Kim, as a monkey, has one thing to her advantage, that Monty clearly hasn’t calculated: a TAIL, being her only free tool.
‘’STOP HER!’’ Monty orders, but to who? The monkeys, or the body-builder guy? Doesn’t matter for Monty. He can order anyone. As long as he gets what he wants back.
This body-builder guy who ends up talking to Monty about his lost pet cracks me up. Gotta love these random bits of humour in all the seriousness. Definitely not what Monty needs now. XD
And the wild hunt is on! Monty’s so desperate to get the magic that he runs after Kim…into school. In FULL DAYLIGHT and in front of all these people watching! Monty’s usually associated with darkness, late nights, shadows, silence and stealth. But this is a matter of short time, and he NEEDS the amulet. It’s not long before Kim PERMANENTLY turns full monkey, and the amulet must be removed before time runs out. So Monty has no choice, no matter how how much he acts like a crazy fish out of water.
Monty shows impressive strength by smashing a locker with a blow. Nothing can come in his way now- Kim has no chance. Monty is too focused on Kim to notice Ron and Chippy, and as Monty starts running after her (love how he runs like a man this time!), Ron sees an opportunity to bring his archfoe to the ground by grabbing his waist. These moments with Monty and Ron interacting together are as always, amusing.
If only Monty knew that this seemingly bumbling boy is the one who’s the destinied monkey king! Sure, Monty can’t hold back his babbling; he’s the Ultimate Monkey Master and Ron is a nothing, blahblahblah. As Monty grabs Ron (have you noticed how OFTEN Monty grabs Ron up to his face like that? XD), he calls him by full name, Ron Stoppable. It’s interesting to note that this is a huge difference from earlier times when Monty called Ron ‘’the monkey phobic friend’’ or ‘’monkey hater’’. Any thoughs on this sudden positive development? As we know, Ron repects Monty for this.
But Ron isn’t the only one staying in the way. Chippy seems to have turned its back to its master, now that it has got a taste of happy life. Go Chippy! Give him what he deserves! XD
Still, Chippy knows it’s this man who gave it its name, which it admits proudly.
Monty rips the pummeling traitor off his face and gets it out of the way. Monty, Monty, Monty. How are you treating your beloved ones? Doesn’t matter now. Time’s out in minutes.
Last stop is the school’s gym room. Offended by the announcer taking Monty for being a LEMUR mascot, the man monkey reveals that out of all places on the globe he has visited, he’s never been to Madagascar. A random witty line, but it still says a lot. : P
And we learn that Monty's never been to Madagascar. I guess that's because of the ''lemurs aren't real simians''-thing, so it's not of interest.
The fight scene that follows is lovely. The two simians are moving with awesome agility, and show off great moves. To me, this episode's animation is improved, fluid and not stiff. You can almost feel their weight as they move around. Even the audience and the announcer is enjoying them.
What puts an end to it all, is some advanced technology. As Kim gets zapped by the ‘’DNA removing beam’’, Monty appears shocked. So shocked and confused by the sight above him that he freezes on the spot. As long as there’s such tech involved, Monty’s taken care of easily. He’s then hit unconscious by Kim landing on him from above. For some reason, I enjoy when my favourite characters are unconscious, sick or tired. When they suffer. I don’t know why. Maybe because it’s easier to pity them, or I like how melancholic it looks.
And aw, he awakens shortly after. His body language tells me he has a headache. : P
Our ‘’mascot faker’’ faces Steve Barkin, and is clearly not so tough anymore! Love his scared-to-the-bone face there.
Fun that the two of them have one thing in common: DNAmy’s interest. In our man’s case, its eternal love. I love how Barkin talks to Monty. It’s like how he in a funny, clever way tells Monty that he’s unwelcome there, as some burglar or something. He’s definitely not part of the school staff or invited, so he’s an intruder.
Monty’s being carried away by his arms by two strong guards (the police?) while helplessly whining he’s a MONKEY MASTER and not some puny lemur. Ahahahaaaaw!^^
Jail again, or….?

Afterthought:
CHIPPY
Chippy was abandoned by Monty for being a traitor in 'TFM', and followed Ron. But Ron hasn't been seen with Chippy after that, so what happened? Either, he could have been sent back to some zoo or to the wild jungle (also, Ron's father is allergic, Pengychan once mentioned, so maybe that's why Ron couldn't keep it), or Chippy somehow found its way back to Monty.
Maybe it came to him in jail, or at some point while Monty was still in Middleton. Or maybe incredible Chippy found its way all back to England! Anyway, there seems to be a monkey in the later episodes 'Big Bother' and 'Oh No! Yono!' that still tries to please its master, but does it all wrong.

Maybe he also read some legends and understood them wrong. I think the legend theory makes lots of sense since Monty could have discovered them innocently back when he was still an honest archeologist."
Pengychan:
"Maybe he casually found out about this power while no one knew about it, and power-thirsty and egocentric as he was, I bet it took him very little to convince himself he was indeed the Monkey Master. Maybe he had been praticising Tai Shing Pek Kwar before finding out about MMP, and he thought that being a master of Tai Shing Pek Kwar he was the only man worthy of that power."

*Monty wanted to become a complete monkey. Why didn't he try again after this?
After 'TFM', he went back to hunting for power, so judging on how badly he wished to become a monkey, he probably planned to save it for later.

The fun thing about that quote IMO, is that since lemurs are not considered a family in the same suborder as monkeys and apes, they're not ''real'' simians to Monty. Even funnier, in norwegian, an other word for lemur is ''half-monkey''. It made me crack up for a second, thinking of Monty being part monkey, and being called a lemur. But he's part monkey- and part human.
And we learn that Monty's never been to Madagascar. I guess that's because of the ''lemurs aren't real simians''-thing, so it's not of interest.
