3.) The episode spent too much time on the senior trip and not enough time on pirate stuff - This I agree with. I just find it a shame that most people don't appreciate how good the pirate stuff that DID make it into the episode was. The action sequences were forced; ask yourself did anybody actually care about any of the pirate characters when they disappeared. And what was Black Eye Brown's motivation? The action sequences in all honesty were all flash and no substance, just like this episode; and the substance we did get was tedious.

If anyone's still reading these threads I'll add something here- The 'cool suit of armor' Ron tried on is actually called a gibbet (G as in George). It works like this: a criminal is hung and then the corpse, fully clothed, is locked into the gibbet and hung is some public place for the public to view. The space between the hoops and bands that make up the device are designed to allow the birds and insects to pick the bones clean thereby horrifying the public and discouraging criminals.
4/5 by the way.

Also called "hanging in irons". I was hoping that someone would call attention to this.

Not a nice way to go.
I liked the episode, but up to a point. They could have done so much, but with it being disney they had to keep it simple. But overall, I'll watch it when it comes on the TV and not change the channel.

Sometimes the corpse would be daubed with tar to keep it from decaying too rapidly.
