I was going through the older posts, and someone called "Sarah Ashley T." gave this sort of challenge to a mod
ronstoppable.proboards89.com/index.cgi?board=askme&action=display&thread=1142666095&page=30
Well, I wanted to try a similar challenge myself. Basically, I'm just stating my opinions on as many characters as I can. What I like about them, what I dislike, this and that. This will be a work in progress, so have patience.
P.S. - I'm sure there's at least SOMEONE who understands the Metal Gear references (I'm looking at you, Random Guy ZT )
*Kim Possible - She's a skilled warrior. A fighter and tactician in the same vein of Solid Snake. However, her views on the world are quite black-and-white, with no middle ground. Basically, her attitude to her opponents is "you work for evil, you are evil". Did you see how she treated Shego in So the Drama? Shego had absolutely no active role in Drakken's plan (she wasn't even AWARE of it until it started to take place) and only ever just served her job of fighting Kim, and yet Kim treated her as if she was responsible for it all. If it was Drakken on the receiving end of that kick, he would have deserved it, but Shego didn't. Hench my point.
*Ron Stoppable - Sidekick, ally, and boyfriend. Ron sticks by his girl through thick and thin. However, it's quite annoying that most of Kim's victories come as a result of his dumb luck. I only don't like him for how he sponges off of Kim's spotlight, but, other than that, he's okay.
*Rufus - Three words: deus ex machina. This little rat ALWAYS saves the day, and it's sad that no villain ever does somethiing about the little guy. You'd think they'd learn to do something about Rufus already.
*Wade Load - The ultimate question: would YOU trust someone that you've only ever really saw on a computer screen and knows everything about what's going on in the world? Wade's good as an ally, but I can't help but feel that his involvement with Kim is a little TOO convenient.
*Doctor Drakken - As far as comic relief goes, he's okay. But it's quite clear that he's no Liquid Snake. Drakken is too inept to actually rule the world. However, So the Drama was, by far, his finest hour, as Drakken actually covered all his bases and exploited every advantage he had. Kim only beat him by the slimmest of margins.
*Shego - She's the Gray Fox to Kim's Solid Snake. The mysterious mercenary who doesn't seem to care about anything but herself and her desire to defeat Kim. She can be an encouragment to the evil actions of her employers (assuming the plan is effective to her), but, in the end, it all comes down to her rivalry with Kim.
*Camille Leon - Spoiled, conceited, ditzy. These are words that can describe her personality. However, it can be just as effective a disguise as the various forms she shapeshifts into. She can be quite intellegent when the situation requires it. What she really needs, though, is a mentor to give her a crash-course in combat. Someone like Shego.
*Mrs. Dr. Possible - Kim's mom, a brain surgeon who's past is even more mysterious than Shego's. No flashbacks, no mention of extended family, not even a real name. However, seeing her show her skills alongside Kim in Mother's Day, I wonder if Kim inherited more from her mother than just her good looks.
*Dr. James Timothy Possible - He's a genius, but somewhat childish in his work. I mean, he creates an experimental rocket booster that tears its surroundings apart upon launch. And you wonder where the Tweebs get it from.
*Jim & Tim Possible - Whether cross-breeding mutant bees for their honey or putting the contents of Kim's diary on the Internet, the Tweebs are nothing short of annoying. However, they are nothing short of family, and Kim can always count on them when her car needs a tune-up or she needs a bit of backup.
*Bonnie Rockwaller - Words cannot accurately describe exactly how much of a bee-otch Bonnie is to Kim. To be honest, if she heard that the villains were going to kill Kim, I would not doubt it in the least that Bonnie would want to watch in anticipation. She hates Kim, plain and simple.
*Monique - Considering Kim's crazy life, it's nice to see that there's someone who can help keep her rooted in reality. Monique is always there for Kim, whether for fashion tips, advice on boys, or simply to gossip with. Besides, it always helps to have someone who matches your gender when talking about very personal issues. I salute you, Monique.
*Doctor Betty Director - It's a shame that Dr. D was never really used as a character (though this can be chalked up to booking her VA). She seems like the kind of character that Kim could benefit from: a wise veteran of combat, always ready to offer her expertise on matters. I see her as the Col. Campbell of Kim's world (let's hope she doesn't start ranting about purple stuffed worms armed with tuning forks).
*Team Go: Hego, Mego, and the Wego Twins - I think it would be best if I grouped them together. Although they can be annoying (between Hego's bossyness, Mego's self-centeredness, and the optimisim of the Wego Twins), at least they look out for one another, like all siblings should do. It's quite obvious that even their long-lost sister Shego still cares for them (although she'll never admit it).
*Steve Barkin - Honestly, is there any OTHER substitutes on standby at Middleton High. That aside, Barkin can always be counted on for a few laughs, with his no-nonsense attitude (provided by our favorite vocal heavy, Pat "Puddy" Warburton).
*Tara - I fail to see exactly why the fans consider her a character when she's not. She's only ever been a background extra with minimal dialogue, hardly worthy of being a character.
*Adrena Lynn - She could have been the anti-Possible, instead she became the most loathed character ever. Fr-EAKY? Not really. She just sucked as a villain, plain and simple.
*Professor Dementor - Dementor is just hilarious, perhaps even more so than Drakken (assuming Shego isn't with him). His Nacospeak accent, crazy schemes (a gift shop in his own lair?), and overall wickedness is just too funny to pass up on.
*Duff Killigan - Although he has tried to cause problems on his own, he's really just a mercenary like Shego. Still, it's nice to know that Disney still had some love for a good Scottish villain. Not since Flintheart Glomgold from Ducktales have we had someone like him.
