Yeah, it's been a little while, but I'm back. Things are getting better in school, so now I have some more free time than I anticipated. Like I promised in the thread on April 6, I wasn't going ot leave forever....well, I guess you see me now! Well, nothing special happened for me in between the two times (with the exception of JEffy getting 2 straight historical wins!!! ;D) Glad to be back here everyone. Not only that, I need to get back into KP....I have been drifting away a little bit of late because of this terrible schedule that Disney Channel has that goes on the same times of some other events...Hopefully it's back to normal in May. Just wanted to start off the month off right for me and hopefully for you. BTW, did I miss anything while I was absent?

The one driver who I just cannot stand. He is always looking at other people's problems, but never his own issues. He gets mad at pretty much anything. He has annoyed me for a very long time.

Hey, welcome home, Brother! Great to see you back and in one piece, too!
Anything new happen? Uhhhh... Yeah, I changed my avatar. What do you think of the new one?
Should I go back to Uncle Wayne, or is this one ok?

Oh and welcome back If there is something that is on the race track (oil, derbis, etc.) that is in the racing line and can harm the driver, then the caution needs to be out.

Would you agree that more large crashes occour after all of the cars have been grouped together in the closing stages of a race, compared to having a spread out field, and that crashes can harm the driver?
I question the track officials needing 3-4 laps of caution at Talledega to remove one piece of sheet metal, when the leader of the race just happens to need to conserve fuel and even the commentators note that he's trying to draft the pace car.

As the ole saying goes: "Cautions breed cautions." As far as harming the driver, NASCAR has worked extremely hard on safety in the past few years so that when htings do go wrong, the driver has a great chance of survival. That was the main reason for this COT, safety. I want to know that my driver and all drivers for that matter are in the safest pieces of machinery out there.

I'm saying this only half tounge-in-cheek:
Racing is inherently dangerous. all drivers would be safer if they were playing XBOX live, or remote control cars.
Safety is often trumpeted about everything, from restrictor plates (which everyone would agree cause more, "big" accidents. the COT is as much about equalizing all the drivers to keep races close as it is about any type of safety. (same with many other "safety" features- cautions, restrictor plates, so on)
The great part of this of course is, that nobody can argue with safety. I mean, well if it's done for safety, it must be good right? why do you want to see drivers get hurt? -it's not a good arguement. your ole saying: "Cautions breed cautions" proves it.
