I didn't get the chance to properly respond to your story in Hate's thread, before it progressed on to other topics. So I'll do it now...more fitting here anyway, as you wrote it, and this is your "ask me" thread.
It was very nice; it wasn't some straightforward "I love you..." "OMG I love you too..." approach (and I hate those to death)--rather, it took into account all the insecurities and confusion we feel as humans, and which we can never escape from. Even those who make themselves look like giants (I'm thinking of guys like Mussolini and Stalin here) were still consumed with fear and insecurity...it drove them to delude themselves into thinking they were immune to it. That was an odd example, I know, as you don't have to be a statesman to act in the same way. I also enjoyed your twist at the end, inserted so "matter-of-factly." Again, it was very nice, and touching without being over the top.
Now, while in the process of writing this, I've been called upon to go get some dinner, so I'll have to leave it at this for now. I promise to ask you something when I get back.

Congratulations on the apprenticeship and (hopefully) the freelance editor thing! That is so freakin' exciting! I want to edit gaming type stuff.. Seriously! I really do. I want to be all "journalizing" it up with the big wigs over at IGN. And reviewing games like crazy and talking to like every industry person in the entire world. So... if you ever need any help... I can fake G erman! ;D

Time to dig up some ghosts from the past. LMAO!!! sounds like a plan Indeed it does! I SHOULD be in bed sleeping but...I don't want. Kind of. Well, whatever, lets just start again. I'm often feeling like I'm not part of a community. It appears like...I'm just there. Nothing more. Sometimes people notice me, most of the time I'm ignored. Like...the one on the prom sitting on a chair in some corner. Or a cat. Everything's so shallow then, if someone talks to me it's just some small talk. Nothing special. Sure to just don't become the prey of the uncomfortable silence. How should I explain it...often I'm just the funny guy who can make you laugh. But you don't want to have anything to do with him cause you think that's the only thing he can do. I don't know why it is so but it saddens me. You know, on another board I am some kind of a "legend" cause I'm there since it all began. But no one wants to have anything to do with me. And many don't know me now cause I'm just coming through there, perhaps 5 minutes on or so on a day. Don't got a reason to get on there anyway. I would like it if it wouldn't be this way. Luckily here it is a bit different, feels better, feel more like a part of the community. Still not really completely "inside" but way better than on some other boards or in RL. Well, think I'm going to bed now. Have to get up early tomorrow. I hope that it will be a good day... Do I know you?Funny...I thought I was the only actively-contributing member who felt that way. It's just an online forum, though. It's not worth getting depressed over. That would be "Augen Auf!" from the album "Wahrheit oder Pflicht." I love the video for it, and I own the album. Bought it in Ger many, actually. Most Rammstein fans also hate these kids. It's...kind of hard not to. They're just soul-less puppets of the record industry. I love InEx. And Erdbeermund is one of my favorite songs by them. I also enjoy Stetit Puella, Wind, Vollmond, Liam, Raue See, and Nymphenzeit. Now then...with that out of the way, I should like to congratulate you on knowing what you'll be doing with your future. That is, as others have said, great news, and I wish I knew what I will be doing in three years. As it currently stands, I have no clue. And now...for Dr. Fabelhaft's generic question regarding social dissilusionment...Do you, Baroque, feel that your nation spends too much time apologizing for the second world war, too much time appeasing violent immigrants, too much time living in a sea of guilt, too much time mocking Bavarians, and in general, too much time being spineless cowards? Would you desire a return to nationalism and uninhibited pride? Or would that offend too many people? And for the record, you can imagine me saying "offend" as though I have just tasted something horrible, and also with a touch of evil malice. Come on, where's that Teutonic pride?

Germany is like wounded tiger. It's slinked away to lick its wounds, but one of these days it will be back.
And hopefully we won't go save the Frenchies this time. Nacospeak culture rocks much harder than the bloody French.
(Is it a bad thing that Fabelhaft is starting to rub off on me?)

Nacospeak culture rocks much harder than the bloody French. (Is it a bad thing that Fabelhaft is starting to rub off on me?) We won't have to. The way things are going, all the European cultures are going to have to band together to preserve themselves, or else they're all going to be eaten away from the inside. And you know what I'm talking about. Anyone can see it being destroyed, but no one in Europe seems to have the guts to do anything about it. And I'm rubbing off on you, Someguy? Ironic...the most enthusiastic Ger manophile on the boards is a Ger man-American.

Totally forgot to reply to this post... I also enjoyed your twist at the end, inserted so "matter-of-factly." First, thank you for your nice comment. And what exactly do you mean by that? By the way I don't think that G ermany will "come back" so soon. Not until the NPD is the government. Hm...well on the other side that could happen horribly fast. The last elections have shown it. Don't want that to happen. I meant that it was surprising to me how you suddenly revealed that the two characters were both girls, yet you wrote it in so casually, as though it wasn't even meant to be surprising. I remember following the NPD on Spiegel.de. They're the ultra-nationalistic guys who everyone claims are Fascist, and who's ranks are filled with neo-Nazis and skinheads, right? Charming...but no worse that what's probably going to happen anyway.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure. It could have been a story made soley for the effect/message, and where the plot is secondary. Plus, when you had the guard show up, I thought I was really in for a twist...like it was all taking place in a concentration camp or something.
How crazy would that be?
Well...I don't know you a bit. But I'd like to think that I'm getting there.

oh well, guess i also would be annoyed if i had to go to music school once a week^^
i certainly dont have a big theoretical knowledge when it comes to music...just enough to play the songs i like by learning it from guitar/bass tabs
actually i thought about going to music school aswell, but as you said that kinda takes the fun out of it...you know, by having to do it
to me its just like a release to sit down and play guitar whenever i feel down or sad...to work up thoughts or simply to distract yourself for a while
anyway, just wanted to know how others think about it^^
