I'm not quite sure if this is the right board, but I think that it is. I am an amateur 3-D modeler and animator, and I've made several animations of the battlecruiser USS Columbia, and I've decided to showcase some of them here. First up, some relatively short ones from YouTube: Columbia decloaking: www.youtube.com/watch?v=blNt9OssiCUColumbia exiting hyperspace: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwBizaUTp9wAnd a rough test for weapons and shields. (Sorry about the poor quality on this one...MovieMaker mangled it.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoSZ2Yi3-wELastly, the longest uploaded animation that I have: The USS Columbia faces off against a planet destroying probe, with a little help. NOTE: To view this one, you'll need the DivX codec, available at www.divx.com/. You will also need a relatively fast internet connection, since the file is 24 MB. Just click "save link as" to see it (it always freezes up on me when I try to click on it directly.) download-v5.streamload.com/478ca42e-8c75-4713-a888-813bd41dea1e/severewxeddie/Hosted/Compressed%20Probe.aviHopefully there will be more animations to come in the future. Meanwhile, let me know what you think of these, please!

Here's a brand-new rendered picture of the USS Columbia: she's firing virtually all of her directed energy weapons. The violet beams are her point defense laser cannons. The golden yellow blasts are her rail guns, and the orange-ish blasts are her wing-mounted plasma cannons.

And she's not even firing her missiles, either.
