Good rant, I agree with you on parts like with the cast spread out. Personally, I feel KP has run it's course, and seriously needs Boxsets (which I REALLY think takes priority over Season 5, I can't get every episode on DVR).

I have to agree with all your points Nemesis. I mean, just look at what happened to Saved by the Bell? On the flip side, Boy Meets World did have some good college-focused episodes, so I suppose there's precedence to go both ways. (and also, these were live action shows, so ehhhhh.)

I also have to definitely agree with the whole ShegoDrak thing. The key villains through the whole first 4 seasons can't just switch sides (and the sship itself makes no sense to this poster)... don't think I've seen any series that did that successfully. After All, Spike was pretty much a Joke after he turned into an Emo Buffy-shipper.

Yeah, you ~could~ write yourself out of the twin issues of ShegoDrak and the MMP (I've done it in a couple fics) But it's not something that SHOULD be done... this is a 23-episode-per-season show, and you'd have to spend a third of that just digging yourself (as a writer) out of a hole, or just go back to the worst retconning and continuity-by-accident writing problems that gave the worst episodes of the show's run.

and your main point is the most important... the show's creators are now at Nick, and many of the other writers and story boarders are either on other projects or at other studios. The voice Talent too, IE Nicole Sullivan on Secret Saturdays. It would take two to three years at least to get all these people out of their contracts...

I really don't want to see happen to KP what happened to the Tenchi Muyo OVA 3... trying to cling to the spirit of the original and failing miserably.

Life Is Too Short To Be Taken Seriously
In light of the recent, um, drama, I figured it was a good time for more ranting. There have been a few changes recently, namely the default skin was changed to say "Billy May's Really Neat Page!" and the new banner. And some people threw a tizzy fit. Don't you think that's a little bit of an overreaction? It's not like you were banned, or your hand cut off, or anything. Just a simple cosmetic change (that, coincidentally, you can change in your personal settings). the boards are still here, the topics are still here, and the accounts are still here (with a few exceptions... miss you RD!).

It's just a joke. The kind that has been around since the creation of this board, from what I've been told (plus observing while lurking and after becoming a member). One that can be ignored or laughed at. Simple. Why some of you are so serious about it is beyond me. Besides, it won't be like this forever.

Also, you can't "demand" anything from Serge. Being a site admin, Serge pretty much can change the board whenever. If it is decreed to be about Pooky, so be it.

I could not agree more. It baffles me that members would actually leave over something as harmless as this.

And going with what you said: I definitely do miss RD, to a degree. Great guy. Sad to see him go.

I get what you are saying on this "drama" and it's nothing to stress over or get your panties on a bunch. However, some people do not even like Billy Mays. In fact he's in my top 5 of most hated people in America and if I chose not to get on it's because I don't want to look at that stupid face on the banner or read about him. One individual has taken it upon herself to change the board and the rest of us have opinons too and we can make choices. I'm not saying I'm leaving the board because of the prank, I'm just saying my time is limited again (and after I just started loggin in on a regular basis again) simply because I hate Billy Mays with a passion and I don't want to look at him. (call me juvenile or whatver you want but he's one of those things that pushes my peeve button) I joined the Ron Stoppable board, not the Billy Mays for Pres board.

Are you serious? You'd leave because Billy Mays is staring daggers through you at the top of the forum? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, leaving because you hate Billy Mays. Firstly, it was a joke, and while you did not find it funny, others did. Serge, also, was not alone in this--don't pin this completely on her, it wasn't solely her decision. The banner will likely be gone in a bit, as it is there mainly because of the elections coming up. It's merely having a little fun, and most others don't seem to mind.

Is a little banner at the top of the forum really going to force you to leave? Wow, just wow.

And about Serge: perhaps you shouldn't believe what you read, then. Get the facts straight from the horse's mouth: ask Serge or someone close to her about it. There's no need to just assume based on the mudslinging going on as of late.

I apologize for mistaking you on that account... however, at the same time, as you said, it IS the internet. As I told someone earlier today: on the internet, you cannot recognize tones of voice, etc. So something that was really meant one way can be meant in another way.
