AH... okay. When the scripts go "final" they get "numbered" for the recording. That way the rest of the production will have each line of dialogue numbered for reference. The story board folks can note the number on their boards with each line, so everyone has a reference back to the script if they need to check it out and the voice director (incredibly talented Lisa Schaefer) can tell the actors which lines are working and which lines she needs them to re-read. The bolded parts of the script are new - they were added AFTER the script went final and have been bolded for reference. Notice how the numbers on the line stop increasing? That's because new material was inserted in between... say... line 85 and line 86. So the new lines are now lettered - 85A 85B 85C until we get through the new material and back to line 86. Sometimes scripts get altered at the last minute before the record due to a late note, or maybe at the recording when we realize a bit just isn't working the way we thought it would and we "fix" it on the fly, or maybe the actors come up with an ad lib that we want to keep, etc. I asked a similar question of Mr. Hart, but I think I'll ask you as well. Did you participate in any recording sessions? Can you think of some interesting stories that came out of those sessions? What types of lines can you recall changing due to the reasons you mentioned? Can you give us some examples?

Thanks for all the info, Mr. Swenlin! I loved both your fake story and the real one about making "Emotion Sickness" I'm curious if the "Shipping" people do here and on other boards was intentionally lampooned in that episode. I also just realized something interesting. Shego steals candy from a baby for Drakken during the "date montage" of Emotion Sickness. But she is the one that (in another ep that you wrote I think) chastises Drakken for doing something comparable to it. -Any comment on that? Also: Are you fairly certain that the episodes will be aired in production order, or could they be mixed up without your knowledge?

Hey Brian! Can you tell us a teensy bit about the Season 4 episode 'Big Bother'?
Courtesy of your post on ARA:
Is this a Ron/little sister bonding episode? Is that why it's emotional? Is the animal related villain Monkey Fist? And what on earth is a cooking staple? lol.

Sweetie, a cooking staple is like salt or something?

I figured they were lampooning us fans in the episode Fearless Ferret. And yeah...I just noticed that "candy from a baby" thing. I just watched Emotion Sickness and Steal Wheels in succession and wondered why Shego took the kid's candy. (I believe the SW line was- Shego: You actually stole a wheelchair, what's next stealing candy from a baby?)

It's so ironic.
The KP guys pride themselves at being great at continuity, and yet, we have errors like this that are Golden Girls in size. But I love it! ;d

Whoa, whoa, whoa... slow down there, Red. When has any Kim Possible writer "prided themself at being great at continuity"? Seriously!

"Stealing candy from a baby" is traditional shorthand for truly despicable behavior.
In emotion sickness, Tom and I wanted to lampoon the traditional "falling in love montage" by showing typical "falling in love" sweet moments with an evil twist, such as a nice walk in the park/giving your loved one a token of your affection... only Shego, being evil, steals candy from a baby as a gift for Drakken.
Similarly, we thought that "jacking a kid's wheel chair" was on par with "stealing candy from a baby" - I mean just how evil can you be? So it merited a comparison in Steal Wheels... of course the additional bit of funny is that we reveal that Drakken has already stolen candy from a baby before.
The fact that the reference comes up in both of my episodes, probably indicates that I am the common culprit.

We definitely knew that Emotion Sickness would be great fun for the shippers - even more so than the average-run-of-the-mill fun that it would be for the rest of the viewers.
