*is caught off guard and stands still while the hug is applied until he eventually pats Tara on the back with one arm looking up the entire time* You'll do fine in college. *lets go* Ooh... Sorry about that sir. We're not on school grounds in this thread, Tara.

Oh Mr. Barkin, don't be such a stiff. People love you and want to express it with simple gestures. Just accept the gestures and the fact they do.

But to be fair about it... everyone can hug me then. My apologies Tara. You may hug who you wish so long as the circumstance warrants them.

No I don't want a sign, TP.
And Mego, teachers shouldn't be instigating those hugs! Especially without permission. I would like an apology to Tara for that 'gesture' of yours.

But we're outside of the classroom, and Tara was my friend before I was her teacher. Tara and I hug all the time. We have an open invitation with each other.

One that I have yet to hear from Tara herself. Frankly, no matter what invitation you may have, that was disrespectful behavior from a teacher. If you'd like to stay on as a teacher, you'll have to act like one.

It doesn't seem that you are using your superior position to coerce Tara, so I think all is fine.

Here and in the classroom, Mego is a teacher. You are free from those bounds elsewhere.
However, I am partially responsible for hiring Mego and I have certain expectations of him as a result.

If he keeps having those kinds of conversations with Monkey Fist like he did this morning, your mom is going to get a noose to hang around his neck.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised about that. Funny how that affected me since I'm pretty used to talking openly with CJ or my God-Parents
