Matilda's not bad. After all, it's the title of one of my fave movies.
I think something along the lines of... Pat? Anna? I don't know. Never knew her name. Always wondered. I think's it's something really simple and common. Like Josie. Or it could be something weird. Why do you think nobody uses it?

Or Anna, or just Anne or maybe even Anabelle. The "Annie" could have been like calling Kim "Kimmy" or because of Slim's acent.
At least now we know Kim got her second name from her mother.

Steve said it was "Anne" and he has the authority to say so.

Actually the name is Ann(e) and in fact the reason why Slim said "Annie" is much like the way it was described.. He's a cowboy and in fact it is this cowboy talk that makes it Annie... but I think Steve is right.. Anne..(I think the 'e' on the end is optional)
But Ann it is..and in fact here is what it says about the name Ann:
Ann is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "favored grace". Simplified form of Anne, the English form of Hannah. Annie is a pet form.
So then what Slim is using is in fact a "Pet Form" of the Name which is Ann(e).

I say, no way! To me, Annie is a cliche, and I don't like cliches.
The way I see it, Slim meant to say something else, but his accent blurred it out.

I recorded it. Played it back. He said Annie. As in Kim's middle name.

I recorded it. Played it back. He said Annie. As in Kim's middle name. Well...Mrs. P's name is Annie...but Kim's middle name is Ann

Well, looking back, I suppose it's okay. However, it's still cliche.

I just know I don't have to go back and edit her name in 1.3 million words of fanfic.
