I'm just saying it's not worth getting angry over. I never meant to include you in that statement, and it sounds to me like you need to step back for a few minutes and calm the hell down before I send a PM to the mods requesting that this thread be locked.

How is monkeyfist/ron a crack pairing and kim/shego isnt? You're gonna tell me you can find as much Monkey Fist/Ron fanfics as Kigo fics? THAT's the difference. Who cares how many fan fictions it has? That does not determine the def of crack-pairing. Crack pairings are not possible. They are not canon. That's what beeftony even said. Read the opening post. Seriously just because somebody likes a ship does not mean it's not a crack-pairing.

Ya'll need to join me in a country boy tradition, go out to a field with a group of mutual friends about an hour before sundown, build up a bonfire, at sundown light the bonfire, sit around the bonfire with s'mores and an iced down brew (from the community ice chest) and chil-ax.
Anywho, yes beeftony's statement was too broad when he said everybody. However, he didn't mean it in ANY offensive way towards anybody that doesn't have an "odd" pairing they support.

Yeah, and he said that a crack pairing isn't supposed to be popular, which Kigo is, even if it isn't canon. No need to get upset.

See what I mean? That's the difference! Both Monkeyfist/Ron and Kim/Shego fit that definition imo. They are both hero/villians and who hate each other and as he says even because it's popular. Just because it's popular does not mean it's not a crack pairing. If it's not a crack People who try to say kim/shego is just like kim/ron would be correct. When we know thats not the case according to TPTB.

I believe what I said was: Not because it's canon, or even because it's popular, but just because they like it. WHETHER OR NOT A PAIRING IS CANON HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! If you can't be respectful and allow people the freedom to ship whomever they choose, I will request that this thread be locked. CALM DOWN. Now then, I believe I was unclear in my definition of a crack pairing. Since I created the thread, I get to determine the criteria. Here is what I believe a crack pairing to be: A crack pairing is a couple that is rarely to never seen in fanfiction, but is supported by somebody regardless. Crack pairings are those like Ned/Drakken, Ron/Monkey Fist, Kim/Tara, etc. KiGo is the second most popular ship in the entire fandom, and therefore does not meet the criteria to be a crack pairing. I ask that you please be respectful and not derail this topic any further. I don't want to have to request a lock, but I will if you can't behave. Please, calm down.

Crack is addictive. I took it as a metaphor in this sitch. Like when someone says a song they love is like "ear crack". It's not that serious. Mine is Shego/Martin Smarty. *gasps* Sacrilege! So what's your crack pairing? KiMonique. I've always liked the chemistry between Kim and Monique. RoNique: Sometimes I wonder what they're talking about before Kim shows up. The last Steeltoe cage match, maybe? Not exactly crack but I like it: BonGo. I reminded of this by a piece of drakkenfan's fan art. Two of KP's rivals getting together? Even if it's just a platonic team-up, Shego and Bonnie could be trouble. The more I think about it, the more I like it.

I won't bother mentioning the one that inspired my screen name, it's pretty much given that it's a fave of mine. It's one of my favorite screen-names on the board. I did not mean to cause a debate in this thread. It's not that serious. I need to repeat these words to me more often. "TPTB have the same view, It's not that serious". Thanks for that advice.

You know what, I have another crack pairing to add to my list! Drakken/Camille! I really like this idea. Camille is a shallow brat. I think hanging around with someone like Drakken would teach her what's important in life, besides money and outer appearances. It would teach her to care more about people. And like I said, when I think of who I want paired up with Drakken, I want it to be someone that I can see adding joy to his life. Camille is the type of perky person who I think could do that.

I don't have a crack pairing. So not everybody has one beeftony. Quit putting feelings in peoples heads. Also i'm shocked you put shego/martin smarty and monkeyfist/ron instead of kim/shego. Crack pairings are considered "unusual", and Kigo, being the second most popular pairing, can hardly be considered unusual. If that was the case, I would have also post Kim/Shego instead of Kim/Tara. Kigo's the 2nd most popular? I would've thought it was like.. the 3rd..... after Drakken/Shego. Kigo's totally a crack-pairing... and it's only popular because of all the Yuri-addicted boys. Actually, I don't know why we call it yuri and yaoi when it's a fandom that ISN'T anime. But, at any rate, being a girl who likes both Monkey Fist and Ron, it makes all the more sense to slash them C:

I never expected that from a mod.
For the record, KiGo was started by girls, and over half the active members of KP Slash Haven are female. The reason it's popular is because people make a big deal out of it when in reality it's no different than any other non-canon pairing.

I'm... no ordinary moderator Lol. I actually became a moderator, because I met and became friends with Serge on a completely different fandom site (The Lion King Fanart Archive).. and that was .. gosh, 3 years ago? At least. Anyways.... blech. I think I've hated KiGo from the beginning simply BECAUSE it was popular. People draw it all the time. I'm unattracted to the popular, I guess. *shrug*
