Todos en ingles, por favor.... De acuerdo Al menos es bueno saber that there are others here that can speak español ;D Isn't Zita's last name Flores? That's Spanish, so it makes her Hispanic. The writers have never specified which Hispanic culture she is from, though. But a lot of mexican last names were from Spain, because many mexicans have a little of Spanish descent. Flores could very well be a mexican last name. The persons that I know with Spanish descent(at least with Spanish parents, or grandparents) aren't dark skinned as Zita is. As I said before, I think she's american with mexican descent. But that's only my guess ;D (and as i said, I'm kind of biased )

Can't rule out Mexico as her family's origin. She does speak with a slight accent in the USA version, which suggests that even if she was born in the USA, her family is made up of recent immigrants. Perhaps we might pose this question to the VIPs...maybe they have a better idea about her background?

Zita was born in Middleton, so that makes her American. I agree with this. I think she was born in the USA but her parents are from some Latin country, I can't tell which one for sure, but in my opinion it would be a country in Central America or like, the northern part of South America. And probably her family spoke spanish at home so she kind of learned that language too at the same time she was learning english outside the family home, so that would why she has an accent. (although I have never listened to an actual episode in english with Zita on it.) And lol! It's funny to see how all the spanish speakers got all reunited in this thread! yay!

I've always assumed she's Mexican.
Wonder why she moved from a place that's hot to one that's cold?
But she's acclimated herself to American culture very well.
I imagine she can speak the languages (Mexican or Spanish) if required.

well in the northern parts of mexico is kinda cold with temps ranging between 0-13C...and there's no such thing as Mexican...what we talk here in Ecuador is the same thing talked in Mexico(spanish) although in a different accent and matter....take for example american english and australian english...is the same language although in a different matter and accent distinctions by the region you're at
but nice thinking about Zita's home country...who knows if she's from MX

That would make sense.
If she lived close to the American border, it would be easy for her to move to America.

is not that easy my friend because the Americans put up a 3.000 km long wall with a height of nearly 6 meters...thats like from street level to a normal second floor rooftop
but if she has some family members that are residents/or US citizens in USA then she can come as a working alien and be a resident...many people here in my country haved lefted that way not only to ther USA but mostly to Spain or Italy...recently my people are going to America illegially by boats taking them to Panama then to Nicaragua-Guatemala and then to USA...some have made it but many have been caught by custom polices of those quick stop countries listed above...
i'll mostly say that Zita enter the USA by the help of her family members being residents of USA or she was born in USA but her parents came to USA 3-5 years before her birth and they all became citizens when she was 10(even though she's already a citizen since she was born in USA)

Well, I'm assuming Rose Flower is a legitimate US citizen.
When I said easy, I meant in terms of distance and climate.
A short hop over the border, a road trip up to Colorado and done!
Did anyone see that movie with Matthew Perry and Salma Hayak? Where she "gives birth" (not really) to a child on a dam that is both American and Mexican.
Wonder if Zita had a similar experience?
Or she could have moved to America when she was younger and her arrival in Middleton was a fair while after this.

Wonder why she moved from a place that's hot to one that's cold? Maybe her family likes to ski or something. Or one of her parents like snow ... I dunno.

Todos en ingles, por favor.... Pero yo quiero practicar hablar espanol! (Perdon; no puedo poner los accentos escritos aqui)* Okay, now I'm just showing off. Sorry. For some reason, I've always thought of Zita as Puerto Rican. *Translation: But I want to practice speaking Spanish! (Sorry, I can't put the accent marks here). This translation is for the benefit of both Spanish and non-Spanish speakers, as I am sure that my grammar is slightly atrocious. It's been a while.

esta bien is ok...the spanish language is not that agressive to the accent marks like Portuguese...however you do need to put the ñ mark because in our language that's a letter of the alphabet
and as for zita from P.R. could be since she's criolla...or creole(mixed)

No! You're all wrong! Zita's an Ancient! From the Pegasus galaxy! (The writing in the top left corner is Zita's name in "Ancient," from the Stargate franchise.) But yeah, while Zita is obviously Hispanic, just what her exact lineage is in undefined.

maybe Zita's from East Timor speaking tetum, portuguese and english Well, "Flores" is a Spanish word - thus implying she's from the Spanish-speaking world. (And I have no clue as to whether or not "Flores" is the same in Portuguese) I think the whole "Brazilian descent" thing was an invention of our local RPer.

actually yes it does mt friend because there's a stadium in Areje Ressalto,El Conquistador named Estádio Daví Flores...so yes flores is also a portuguese last name...and remember that in Timor Leste, many poeple have portuguese surnames because they were a colony of portugal for more than 400 years(similar to the Philipines everybody almost having spanish surnames)
but in East Timor the people spak portugese as Haiti speak French(25% of the population) the mayority speak tetum followed by portuguese
but still Zita Flores Gusmão(i made it up)might be from East Timor
p.s:for those of Malaysia...i would say that Zita is also fluent to Bahasa since her country was colonized by Indonesia until 2000
ALL OF THIS POST IS MY OPINION...WE DONT KNOW EXACTLY WHERE IS ZITA FROM...IS UP TO US TO FIND OUT OURSELVES!!!
