I heard this joke about the concept of Dora the Explorer and had to see it just to see if everything I heard was true. So then I thought: Would you want to see Kim do that? A "Choose Your Own Adventure" style show with audience participation, screaming at the screen, telling Kim what to do next? There is certainly alot of proof of audience participation when it comes to Kim Possible.

Problem is, people would be screaming
Kim. 'What should I do to [insert character name here]?' Us. 'Kiss [insert character name here]' Kim. 'You want me to beat up [insert character name here]?' Us. 'WTF, no!' Kim. 'Okay.'
Though I could see it with potential for younger kids.

Yeah, ditto.
That would mean my 18 month old second cousin could watch KP instead of Barney and Elmo! Yay!

I kinda don't like the idea of dumbing down KP to the level of "Dora the Explorer." Actually, to be honest, when I saw your "Choose Your Own Adventure" quote, I immediately thought of those old "Choose Your Adventure" books that we read back when we were kids. The books where you read a certain scene then will ask you which page to go to ("to take the left path, turn to page 16; to take the right path, turn to page 24, and so on). It'd be a nice little game in the fun board, if you ask me.

There are about 4 Choose Your Own Adventure KP books out there. Really? I never noticed them. I'm familiar with the villain file books as well as the illustrated books for the Season 1 episodes released by TokyoPop. You got links/pictures to the adventure books? BTW, I don't mean to question you. I'm just being curious.

I don't really like Dora the Explore so to see this show go down to that level would make me very sad.

I saw the title and thought of my truck. Only I named it Eddie, even though it's green (92 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer)
Dora bugs me. It seems to be teaching kids to be bi-lingual, when we have a problem right now where the current wave of immigrants are not learning the language!

English should be made the fricking official language of the US.

You prove my point.
For almost 13 years, I lived next to the nicest old couple. They didn't speak a word of English. They were the sweetest people though.

Whats weird is when it's shown in other countries... I've got nothing against other cultures or teaching kids other language, and in the US where there's a substantial link with the latin-american culture and people I see no problem. But when it's shown in the UK it kinda loses something... teaching kids Spanish when I dont think I've ever actually met anybody from spain (or any of the latin-american countries)? Just seems a bit random

Actually, I could very likely make myself understood in Spain. The dialect used by the Mexican immigrants is completely unintelligible to me.
