Not sure which discussion to post this in, but anyway...
I was thinking about the brilliance of TPTB, I mean, their scriptwriting is easily the best that I've seen in a long time. Their humour, the characters... everything.
But I was wondering, could it be that they are being limited in some ways because of the family friendly image of Disney?
I mean, I'm not saying that Disney is ruining anything or that KP isnt brilliant, but imagine if TPTB got together to make something (maybe similar) but with a demographic of adults, imagine the possibilities!

What is TPTD, anyway?

...and why is suddenly everyone saying that, even I?
Well, I think they are a bit limited. Perhaps the henchmen would use guns etc., perhaps Kim and Ron would get seriously hurt, who knows. But would I like to see that?

My worry is that they might overdo it. I'm so used to what they have now, I don't know if I could handle a big change. Unless I had a few episodes to get used to the creation... heck, why not? I'd be all for it.

Okay, NOW I know what TPTB is so...
I've always imagined Kim Possible's world to be a sort of Metal Gear-esque scenario. I mean, you've got professional heroes, colorful enemies (with varying opinions on exactly how evil they can be), high-powered technology (both good and bad).
About the only thing the KP world needs is a truly competent villain. Not like Drakken and all the other bums, but someone who is actually capable of world domination, and willing to kill Kim if needed.
And NOT Shego, either. She's not a truly independent villain, but just paid muscle. A mercenary, so to speak.
Of course, my vision isn't quite as pleasant as Disney's, so...

About the only thing the KP world needs is a truly competent villain. Well, TPTB have said that the 2-part season finale is going to feature that kind of a villain, who's going to be totally serious and not have anything funny about him at all.

Well, if KP were to be in a different tv station, then it would have been different altogether. Their boundaries are limitless (only self-imposed boundary applies), which give them more room to make good scripts. However, I love how the producer, creators and writers play along the boundaries and still make it entertaining for both kids and adults.
However, I must admit Season 4 is the best so far for both storywriting and animation!

I'm not sure how I feel imagining what Kim Possible would have been like on another station. It was wonderful as it was.

Unfortunately, I hear it's just going to be more of Warmonga's tribe that shows up in the end. I was talking about a serious villain that was human.

This isn't just about KP though, perhaps a new show created by them?

I'm REALLY happy with the way KP is right now...making it PG would probably not ruin it, but it could attract the wrong type of audience. Which for me...matters.

Part of KP's appeal for me is that it's really good, despite being a kids' show. If it somehow became an adult cartoon...I dunno, man. Anyone remember that Ren and Stimpy Adult Party thing? ...Yeah. Of course, KP's already proven me wrong once by coming back for a fabulous fourth season, so who knows.
