Kurt Weldon... sorry really dont know who he is but he answered a question to a problem I was have. See heres the thing, Not relying on disney to actually make any box set of KP (even though I'd love to seem them do it and buy them in a second if they did) I Found a way to Use the DVR on my computer to record, then edit out commercials, Create menus and chapters and burn to a dvd so i can watch away from home with a dvd player. (if you wanna know how to do the same feel free to ask) but anyways I've been trying to figure out how to order the seasons to they would go in some kind of sequence. I was told to use the production number, which they mostly do follow some order but then after watching Clothes Minded and remembering cupid effect was number after that... I couldn't figure how in an episode before she got here new outfit and then the next episode she was wearing the old one that was out of production... this is what kurt had to say.

"Production numbers are assigned as the premises are approved. Now, Mark & Bob have a bulletin board with index cards on it that lists the idea for each episode -- something like "Kim gets a car" or "Ron gets a job." For this season, there was a planned story arc based on those cards. But the premises didn't necessarily get approved in the same order. So "The Big Job" (402) was approved before "Car Alarm" (404) even though the second script in the pipeline was always intended as the fourth episode.
In other words, the production numbers don't really mean squat.
Here's an extreme example: So the Drama part 3 was 305. Part 1 was 306. Part 3 was 308. Oh the hijinks that ensued from that!
The other fun thing that happens is that a script gets delayed for one reason or another, or requires more drafts, or the board gets delayed, or requires more revisions -- or all of those things happen. Then the production number is even less of a guide to the order of the series."
so basically it does and doesnt... but episode # is way further off then production number so im going by that... but if disney would just handle this themselves I wouldnt have to worry about it, not to mention they could make money off it.

Forget the production numbers. The only way to put KP in order is to watch very carefully, see the small details, and then use trial and error to figure them out. I spent months trying to get the first three seasons in a correct order, and I'm not sure I'm completely right.
The biggest thing is that Job Unfair and The Golden Years should appear chronologically in Season 1. The Golden Years is a spring break episode. But this is the first time Ron meets Nana Possible. Spring break occurs after Christmas. In A Very Possible Christmas, Ron has already met Nana Possible. This would make The Golden Years occur in Season 1.
Confused?
Then in The Golden Years, Kim mentions that she saved Canada from Drakken's weather machine the week before. This makes Job Unfair the previous episode to The Golden Years.
Now I have to do Season 4 when it's complete.

I know im not going to get it perfect... but as long as i got it on dvd thats all that matters. i'm not relying on disney for my dvd fix.

To make matters worse, Disney doesn't seem to care one little bit about any internal continuity - which is why we got "The Big Job" before "Car Alarm"

In Golden Years they were moving her to Miami... It wasn't the first time Ron met Nana... Just the first time we did... Nana used to live in Middleton  |

If another season seem to be crossing the age line why not make a prequal series? like based on the very early life of kim and ron. I'd love to see more of there childhood friendship that help lead us up to this point.

Pre-quals rarely work. If anything, it would have to be filling in the time from the preteen age from ASiT up until sophomore year of HS. That in itself limits the writers, and they would have to go back and make sure EVERYTHING fits according to canon. Perhaps the hardest part is if they do anything drama or life-changing in the prequel, the normal series that we have all grown up with cannot be changed to reflect that.

Disney doesn't want us to know what the "real" order is. It makes it easier for them to rerun the episodes in random order later.

And I figured Nana would come visit Kim on occasion, what with living close by... And just figured Ron happened to be there once when it happened... Guess I'll have to watch Golden Years again... |

No big. I kinda made a mistake myself in my haste. In Downhill, Mr. and Mrs. Possible tell Kim they can chaparone her ski trip since they dropped the twins off at Nana's. This doesn't mean that Nana lives in Middleton. She could have been living in Lowerton or Upperton. We're not sure where Nana lived before moving to Florida.

Also, some day care ladies are referred to as "nana" as well. By the way, Erased Paper over at ARA has spent countless hours examining the eps and has a production order pretty much nailed down. You might ask him what order the eps go. I consider him the expert on this subject. |

Also, some day care ladies are referred to as "nana" as well. Wait, isn't "Nana" of GY and AVPC the paternal grandmother? (Even so, your point still stands: whichever "Nana" was mentioned in Downhill could have been the "other" grandmother.) It seemed to me some continuity issues between episodes can't be completely resolved. For example, in Tick-tick-tick, some of the dialogue implies Kim and Ron have never confronted Drakken and Shego before, which on its face puts it as the first episode of the series. Yet in another early episode, either Bueno Nacho or Crush, there's at least one element in it (I can't remember what offhand) that places it as occuring before Tick-tick-tick, yet in both of those episodes Kim and Ron are clearly familiar with Drakken and Shego. |

Here's another continuity thing I noticed... In "Emotion Sickness" (I believe that was the episode) Ron walks in Kim's kitchen with bags of breakfast from Bueno Nacho and says "Those breakfast chimurrittos aren't gonna eat themselves KP", yet in "Grande Size Me" Ron just realizes for the first time that Bueno Nacho serves breakfast and he's surprised by it.
