Kim's Growth Spurt outta nowhere

Eh I noticed somethigntoday. Kim at one point of the series had a huge growth sprt. i was watching Illsuited today and I noticed this



Look at Kim's Height Compared to Barkin's. She's only a few inches shorter than him. Now lets look back to the start of it all in episode 1, tick Tick Tick....



Barkin is TOWERING over her.

Also has anyone noticed Kim has not worn her Signature Green Top and Blue Cut Offs in season 4 at all? She gets new clothes like every episode. Yay for non-lazy animators!

Yeah Barkin was blond at the beginning of the first season.

Wow, she does seem to have grown a lot. Or maybe Barkin's shrinking?

Well, she is a senior now. She's kinda expected to grow, possibly to her max height by now. There was another thread that pointed out that Ron was a bit taller than Kim now. Maybe someone who has lots of time on their hands and all the episodes digitized could do a flow chart on Kim's height growth.

As for the green and blue outfit, we haven't seen that since season 2. Of the episodes listed for season 3, I don't recall one having her 'signature' outfit.

Well shes like 17-18 now.So its expected that she should be taller.There was a thread somewhere on the board talking about Kim and Ron's age.At S1 they were like 15-16 i think thnx to the analysis done by some people on the board.So since its been like few years its better that she grew taller.Besides it makes her look older.

Most people grow a few inches between Fresh and Senior year.

Of course, I haven't grown an inch in at least 5 years...

and we have a rough idea of how tall Mr. B is, and based on this we can get a fairly good idea of Kim's height

Being a cartoon, the difference in height between characters is rather exaggerated. Also, Barkin's height seems to vary considerably, depending how large and intimidating they need him to be.

Yeah, he does get bigger when he's supposed to be more intimidating. He's got a randomly giant and imposing thing going on. But that's cartoon physics for you.

It could be so. But in the first shot I think Kim is a little further up in the background, making her appear taller than she really is when compared to Barkin. Her feet are a little closer to the camera and the angle of the shot comes more form the floor so that would tend to minimize how much forward her feet would be in a two dimensional shot, but would augment her height more than is real. Judging form the mug shot, it would seem Barkin is about 5' 10" or so, but he's also slouching, so he might be as tall as 6'. Then going back to the second shot comparing Barkin's height to Kim, he does seem to tower over her, making her seem shorter (but that's a season one shot too, before or about when she's sixteen.)

My guess is she's about 5' 2" to 5' 4". That goes with her estimated weight of 105 lbs.

Also, girls typically finish their growing heightwise by the time they're sixteen years old, whereas the boys will get an extra spurt around eighteen years of age.

I guess Kim's and Ron's heights are the same as the old question

"What is Barney Rubble's job?"

The answer was "What ever fits the current story."

Unlike Fred Flintstone who worked in the gravel pits, Barney had many different jobs throughout the series.

The height of Kim, Ron etc, isn't important, whatever fits the current story or scene.

Hell, I;m bigger then my own mother, so yeah Kim and Ron grew and now they are equivelent to Barkin's hieght

Uh, no. If you imagine the outline of Barkin's head in that line-up, it's now 'canon' that he is 6'3". By comparison, in most cases, Kim and Ron would both be under 5 feet tall. Again, cartoon physics come into play. Scale just isn't as important, except when Kim and Ron are standing beside each other. Ron is now a couple inches taller than Kim (doesn't seem as much, but her flippy hair is a bit poofy on top,) but they're both a little on the short side. My estimate for Kim is 5'5" (for no other reason than that's how tall my wife is and the size fits)

I think Barkin has shrinked, because Kim is still not taller than the lockers.

wow kim grew dang then by the time im a senior if everyone grows as fast as kim (im a freshmen now going on sophmore yay!) im going to be a giant wow! i think ill tryout for the girls basketball team then lol jk
