So how do we decide? A few months? Joined 2006 or earlier? Hey now. I understand not wanting a bunch of stalkers or wannabe stalkers joining the party just to make a fuss for others, but I'd really really like to participate too! I mean, I've only been here since April, but I've been lurking for several months before that. So pleaseplease try to devise a fair system? Please and thank you. ^^ What would be the fair system then?

Looks like I'll either be getting a card from overseas or nabu, so I don't have much to worry about ^^

I agree. Trustworthiness and loyalty should be a prerequisite. People who are loyal Kim fans who aren't gonna go stalk others. I've only been here since March, but I've been over at ARA for almost 2 years and have accrued almost 2,000 posts.. And that's at the ARA.

I thank them for not listening to the doubters that discounted there ability because what they the creators wanted was different then what some people wanted and therefore they screwed it up. They are TPTB and they are the REASON KP exists. For them putting K/R together is wonderfull.
CHEERS for Mark & Bob and the rest of the gang!

I was just saying that just because somebody hasn't been a member of this board in particular for forever doesn't mean that they aren't "real" fans and it definitely doesn't mean that they don't want to participate, either. Putting a joined-by date for participation sounds good until you realize that somebody's going to be hurt or feel left out just because they weren't smart enough to be a member a few months earlier or what have you will. Posts sounds relatively okay, but well, that might... whatever. Forget I said anything, if that makes you feel any better. I didn't want to make it dramatic or difficult, I was just um, expressing a minority opinion?

So how do we decide? A few months? Joined 2006 or earlier? If you do that it knocks me out maybe come up with minimum amount of posts? or as was said they have shown their loyalty to KP and the board? I'll go with the group but I feel it should be open to all. Some questions have been raised that I will address here, the master address list will be kept and only seen by me and destroyed after the chain has been completed. The only other person that will see your address is the one behind you in the link that has to send you the card as you will see the address of the next one in line to be mailed. If somebody is uncomfortable with this, after the relay in the States is over and the card has been returned to me for mailing overseas I will make a cloverleaf (Grandpa may recognize the army term) I will send the cards out to those who wish to remain private and they will mail the card back to me when this is done I will send the cards out to the United Kingdom and the chain will start again till it ends with grandpa. Everyone will receive two packets one with the card from the member behind them and one from me with the new mailing envelope for the next in line. The cost of this is zero for all; I will send stamps for us in the USA and international money orders to those oversea to reimburse any postal cost. as of now I have six addresses not counting myself and grandpa, N.J.> me TX CA x2 United Kingdom x2 G ermany Switzerlandput me on the list too! that will probaly be easy for you and me since we both live in the same state, NJ! well i'm in somerset NJ

I didn't want to make it dramatic or difficult, I was just um, expressing a minority opinion? I completely understand, we have to be fair to everybody. But the reason I suggested something like this isn't to find the 'true KP fans'. I know that the date you joined or the posts you make can't always tell us that. This is an issue of safety for everybody participating. We will be given other people's addresses here so we need to be as sure as possible that we can trust these people. Anybody on the internet can say 'I'm a huge KP fan, you can trust me!'. Sorry to scaremonger, I'm not saying anybody here is like that

shouldn't there be a list for whos sending it to whom? It's going to be kept secret by killerbebe, along with the addresses. We don't need to know who else is there and it's safer if we dont.

Yeah, I agree with what you said. Trusting someone just because they like KP is like saying, "Oh, you like Dr. Pepper, you're AWESOME!"
Generalizations suck.
So, what's gonna be the thing to allow people to be part of it? Trust?

Well, I only have spoken outside RS.net with nabu, and I am a member since March. Judge me as you please, because it is the right of you, the old members of these boards, to do so. But be fair in your judgement and open with your minds.

The more people/countries we include in this - the higher the chance the card is gonna get misplaced. So I suggest we cap the number of people to like, 10. Maybe a little leyway for one or two more.

I'm starting to think that maybe the CHOC thing is a much better way to say Thanks, but that's me.
We can still do this.
