The Big Job was hardly playable because Quicktime is being a piece of junk right now, so I couldn't judge it. Nonetheless, my comment above was regarding the .AVI you provided of Overdue.

Whoever is developing the boxsets could find a happy medium by having more episodes on one disk at a lower bitrate. I wondered if any shows would be done like this, but it seems that if it isn't advertised as having 'HD QUALITY PICTURE' then nobody will buy it And I remember downloading the HD clips before, they really came into their own when I streamed them through my Xbox to my HD tv instead of just watching on my computer.

Just as a comparison, I made this animated gif to cycle between a HD and SD version of the same clip. img229.imageshack.us/img229/6865/hdsdih9.gifSome quality was lost during the process, but it was lost from both images so it balances out if you think about it. This is how nice the HD image really looks. I wonder wallace, are these caps the original uncompressed HD size? caps on kpfw are jpeg so the compression is different.... actually to be more correct, those ones are in the old "1/2 HD" mode.... 7's now gone full HD in light of all the other carriers swaying that way too.... the res on that pic is about 1440x816 which is close but not full.... full is at 1920x1080, which is very nice..... the caps we provide kpfw/wallaceb are compressed video though.... makes it easier for us to up..... xvid runs at like 1200kbps video at 12bit depth w/ mp3/ac3 audio.... but to go straight from source, which is at transport stream / mpeg 2, the data rate is much, much higher..... say about 13 mbps (about 13 times more data per second compared to xvid) you'd be askin y the hell you use xvid - cos it compresses quite well.... the approx size of a kp ep in HDTV raw is about 3.6GB (transport stream), 2.2GB (mpeg2) and 1.6GB (xvid/ac3) and Will - if u want to play MOV files on PC without QT dieing (as always with windows based QT LOL) a good player to use is Nero Showtime.... it seems to handle MOV files much better..... and if anything else u might be able to use VLC (but i havnt tried it though)

Give it some time. Disney surely will be releasing a region 1 set eventually. After all, there's still that possible future commentary recording Bob talked about. It might be included with the US release if/when he and Mark get contacted again. *is hopeful*
