I took your 'ask me' virginity! You're soooo gonna hate answering all of these: What do you think of slashy ships, i.e. Ron/Felix, Kim/Shego? What was the last 'intimate' dream you had? Are you a member of any other KP communities? SDS, ARA, MKP? What KP merchandise do you own? Do you have all the episodes? Look in the nearest waste-paper-bin, what do you see? Does your bedroom have any posters on the walls? If so, what are they of? What's the last movie you saw at the cinema? Which friend of yours have you known the longest? What level of the foodchain do you consider yourself? Five words to describe your personality? What hobbies/interests do you have aside from KP? Last DVD you bought? Favorite movie? Have you seen 'Interview With The Vampire'? Do you have any talents? What do you wear when you sleep? Jammies etc? Where is the computer you are using located? Do you own a cellphone? Last time you cried? Have you listened to the KP Soundtrack? First thing you notice about the opposite sex? First thing you notice about the same sex? If you could have one power, what would it be? What do you hate about yourself? What do you love about yourself? Ever wish you could live in another part of the world? Look behind you, what do you see? What's your average daily food intake? For breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks etc. How evil are you? Are you ticklish? How well can you handle babies? Ever watched 'Doctor Who' [it's a Brtish sci-fi show that recently went over to the US]? What do you think about the world we live in? What's your fashion taste like? Do you shop online? Could you survive without the Internet? Do you like Harry Potter? What's the most expensive thing you own? Socks, slippers or bare feet? How often do you go outdoors? Do you have any allergies? Last time you visited the hospital? Do you have any prejudices? Name a chore that you hate to do, but have to do anyway. What's your favorite subject at school? Who was your first crush? Who was your last crush? Do you do much downloading? Last time you went to a party? What's the earliest memory you can remember? How close are you to your siblings, if you have any? What to you have on your pizza? Gonna post a picture of yourself on the 'What Do You Look Like' thread? *Gah! Finger's snap off*

What type of computer desk do you recommend? I'm wanting to get a computer and stuff and have less than 3 feet of space in between the wall and the front of my bed where I want to put the thing.

Finally. I was waiting for this.
Please note that as I never spam the fun board, every question you receive from me will be unique to you. Prepare yourself, as I have many things to ask...
I'll start small, though.
You mentioned your great great grandfather's watch. I assume that this means you are not a native African. Are you of British or Boer ancestry, and what are your experiences in dealing with the other groups (including native Africans)? I know the Dutch and Brits haven't necessarily gotten along...
How old were you when you finally realized that the world we (humans) have created for ourselves was flawed, and that change needed to be wrought? Was it a large epiphany or a gradual process of understanding?
Many of my peers just seem to party or float their way through life, with no real concerns. They only care about simple things, or what the media says they should be caring about. They couldn't tell you where Greece is on a map (I've seen this...really), and they don't care to learn. They have no convictions. What do you think of these types, assuming you've met any (and I'm sure you have)?
I mentioned before that I don't really ascribe to any political ideology...just what I think is right. I'll be honest--I'd like to hear (or read, I guess) your thoughts on Fascism. I don't necessarily agree with it either, but I don't think many people (including myself, maybe) even know what it truly is. It's thrown around as a word to slander political opponents, and has become little more than a cheap insult--often used with no justification. But there was once an ideology behind it (perhaps even a noble one), which was lost. In my opinion, it was lost even before the end of WWII. Mussolini, for example, succumbed to what may have been Fascism's ultimate fate early on in his career--corruption and the rampant violation of human rights. But I think there was more to it than that. What are your thoughts?
Thanks for this thread, Marxist.

Wow...you really do hate Fascists. It's understandable, though. I was under the impression that the only true Fascist sate was Mussolini's Italy. The Third Reich and Romania don't count, as they were both anti-Semitic (and Mussolini rejected racism...even going so far as to aid Italian Jews), and Franco's Nationalist Spain was heavily influenced by Roman Catholicism. Despite Italy being predominantly Catholic, it is my understanding that Mussolini didn't care much for religion.
It was also my understanding that Mussolini started out pretty well--he brought prosperity and order, he silenced the mafia, and he gave people a voice. One of the leading Blackshirts in Rome was, if I'm not mistaken, a Rabbi. This would be proof enough that their main concern was political and economical--not racial or religious.
I'm not sure when it fell apart. Maybe when the militarism kicked in, and Mussolini invaded Ethiopia (though they did have legitimate claims to it, I've seen photographs of atrocities Italian soldiers committed against Ethiopian civilians, and they aren't pretty), or maybe when Il Duce cast his lot with Hitler. Franco had the right idea in that regard, and Spain remained intact. I just know that the Italian populace quickly turned against Mussolini when the allies invaded...
Ironic...so Marxism was a reaction to Capitalism. Later, Fascism grew out of the same dissatisfaction with Capitalism, and also turned against Marxism. Communists and Fascists hate each other, but they both hate Capitalism...so in the end, Capitalism is to blame, since its corruption spawned your mortal enemy. Most people think of mortal enemies as having always been the opposites of each other, but Fascism is like the bastard child which grew out of a third party. What does this make Capitalism? It seems like that while Marxists and Fascists are both keenly aware of how much they hate each other, Capitalists are still blissfully ignorant of how flawed their system is--they created two powerful forces (one long ago, and more recent), each dedicated to the destruction of the other. It's almost comic.
Okay...I'm not sure if you'll convert me, Marxist, but I welcome you to try. At the very least, I'm aware that the system we have in place now is horribly inadequate. Every day in Philadelphia, I see the extremes of wealth and luxury. Mansions with huge gardens, walls, and Greek columns lining the driveway; dilapidated row homes and shacks, with trash covering the streets, broken or missing windows and doors, and children wandering around aimlessly through the ghetto; the nicely-organized houses of the middle class--simply content to be where they are; and homeless people with glazed eyes lurching through center city, and sleeping under bridges. Something isn't quite right...I know that much.
An impressive legacy. Was your father a soldier, or a "militant" (if I may use that word?) And how did your cousin die?
I agree with this, but "race" has become so powerful in the minds of men, that it may as well be real. It's unfortunate.
Alright...now, after ALL THAT, I can finally get to my questions. I apologize for the lengthy read, but I've always thought that some responses warranted discussion. Your's definitely did, but I expected nothing less.
What does the South African government think of you guys? You supported Mandela, but let's face it...the current government seems (from what I've heard) to lack the sense of Mandela and de Klerk. They saved South Africa from the sad fate which befell Zimbabwe (reverse racism), but the country still has problems. Isn't Johannesburg plagued with violent crime? I'm sure there is still rampant poverty across the nation. You would need to address these issues, and I think it would be hard, if not impossible, to do so without criticizing the current government.
On a different note, what kind of music do you listen to? I like industrial metal, electronica, and neo-classical especially. Ever hear of or listen to KMFDM? Since their founding in 1984, they have been staunch supporters of the left-wing, and often use Communist symbology. I love them...one of the best bands to come out of Germany (along with Rammstein, Megaherz, Joachim Witt, etc.)

Most of what you said about Mussolini is news to me. The Rabbi I mentioned came to my attention while browsing a Fascist message board. Someone brought it up in order to make the same point I tried to--that Italy under Il Duce was not concerned with race. It's more than likely that I only got half the story--no one mentioned him being murdered. Is there anywhere online I can find more information about him, or of Mussolini's plans to send Jews to camps?
Likewise, though I've never posted on such forums, I've seen so many interpretations of what Fascism is. Some are White nationalists/neo-Nazis. Others are Catholic Falangists. Still others are supporters of Mussolini. It's all very confusing, and there seems to be no universal mindset to unite them.
I still find it hard to accept that the history of mankind is one of class struggle. It just seems like it should be more complicated. Fascists claim to elevate humanity to some higher spiritual level...and I have no idea what they mean by that, or even if they know what the hell they're talking about. Nevertheless, I can't see the void of Capitalism taking us anywhere as a species. America seems less like a country, and more like a playing field where everyone tries to outdo everyone else. If you get left behind in the race, you're pretty much screwed. No wonder the majority of citizens here feel no connection to their government, or to "American" culture (whatever that is.) Anyone who has it good, can look around them and see the US as working. But all it takes is a glance at the big picture to see the tragic hilarity of how quickly we're falling apart.
I will probably PM you tonight (when I get off the train). Any information you can give me is more than welcome. As a college student, I see enough people who claim to be Marxist because it's the "cool" thing to do. I also see countless people wearing Che Guevara t-shirts, and I sometimes wonder if they even know who he was. My point is that there's probably a good amount of drivel out there, and you could help me separate the posers from the ones who are serious and know what they're talking about.
So your father knew when he was retaking the town, that his nephew had just been killed there? Talk about motivation to fight...this is all history I haven't heard yet.
Again, thanks for this thread.
P.S. I have all five Rammstein albums, three singles (Mein Teil, Amerika, and Keine Lust), and both DVD's. I find it ironic how, because they're German, people automatically accuse them of being Nazis, and because they happen to be from Eastern Germany, that people accuse them of being Communists. Everyone's looking for a controversy...

Very interesting reading you and Fabelhaft debating each other. You don't need to tell me Mussolini was bad, but I didn't know the details.
That's so sad about your family. Which brings me to a process I've read and heard about, which as far as I know is unique in human history, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (did I get the name right? It's been awhile since it's been on the news in America.) Did you have any personal experiences with this? Do you have any opinions about its effectiveness (or not) in improving conditions and relationships between people in your country.

I was going to tell her that after reading it, but I wanted to PM you first. Honestly, why should we care? We're all human. We all bleed and die just as easily as the next man, and we can interbreed (proof enough that race doesn't count for much.) Cultural and social mindsets and traditions may affect how we act, but a white child growing up in an African tribal community will act the same way as his adoptive parents. You need to stop apologizing for your grandmother, ABL, and see the world as something bigger than just trivial differences between skin colors. Every race and civilization has committed crimes against mankind, but in a perfect world, you wouldn't have to worry about offending anyone. Like I said, we're all human. It's just too bad that some people still refuse to see this, and that innocent people pay the price. Marxist, I now come back to you. Have you ever heard of the West Ger man terrorist group, the "Red Army Faction"? They were also called the "Baader-Meinhof Gang", after two of it's founding members; Andreas Baader, and journalist Ulrike Meinhof. By 1977, virtually all the RAF leadership (including those two) had been killed, or had committed suicide in prison. I have always been interested in this group. At first, the Ger man populace idolized them. But once they began killing people, they were shunned. They had hoped to spark a national Marxist revolution, and assumed that their countrymen would rise up to join them. But instead, they were left fighting a futile battle against the West Ger man state. They were doomed from the start. I wrote a term paper on the RAF last year, and got an A on it. It pretty much tells their entire history in about 8 pages. You may read it if you want, but as a like-minded individual, I would like to hear your opinion of these men and women. By the way, they officially disbanded in 1998. Also, if you want any info on KMFDM, feel free to let me know. I'm going to see them in concert on October 11, and I have 10 of their albums. I can provide a "must-download" list. *Although I do recommend supporting the band. I bought 9 of my 10 copies legally.*

I mean, I find it offensive and I'm ashamed that somebody I'm related to; share blood with could be so horribly bigoted.

Interesting take on the RAF. I believe there was one instance where they bombed a newspaper press building (I put all the information in the paper I wrote, but have since forgotten it ), but before the bombs went off, they phoned the company and told them to evacuate the workers. They did it twice, and both times, the receptionist blew them off as pranksters. In their "after-action" report, where they claimed responsibility for the attack, they apologized to the workers who were injured, and blamed their misfortune on the "pigs" who care more about production, than about the safety of their employees. In one of my private messages to you, I mentioned the growing situation in Europe (Ger many especially) between natives and Turkish immigrants. What is your feeling on the matter? How can it be resolved, if at all? Have you ever been to the ruins of the Great Zimbabwe, or to other ancient sites in Africa (such as in Sudan or Egypt?) What about the site of the battle of Rorke's Drift, between the British and the Zulus? Does anything remain? Have you ever heard of the gladiator Spartacus, and his slave rebellion against the Roman Empire during the last days of the Roman Republic? Many people compare his "army" to a Communist-like society, and I believe the original movie by Stanley Kubrick (and the book it was based on) touched heavily on the Marxist elements of Spartacus' revolt. I have relatives who are the same way, ABL, but I don't apologize for them. I have my own life to live, and their idiocy doesn't (and shouldn't) concern me. I am my own person, as are you.
