Hey! Go back to school yet? How are you so far? Ya, I'm taking classes at 2 schools this semester. One of the schools has started, the other starts next Tuesday after the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Guess my classes are ok. Two of them are with my advisor, so I really need to do good in them and from what I hear, his classes aren't exactly the easiest in the world. This semester, I'm taking: Public Speaking (ick) Production and Operations Management Pinciples of Financial Management Business Correspondence American Literature I Personnel/Human Resources Management Looks like another fun semester. Why am I a business student again? Hmm.... As for the weather, it's pretty darn cold. It's around 30 degrees outside and has been raining for about 2 days straight. Luckily, the rain we've received have been mainly mist, other places not too far from us have had over 3-4 inches, while we've only had around 0.5 inches. Looks like all that will turn to ice and we'll have some more icy precipitation here in the next few days. More fun, I'm trapped at home, joy ;D

Public Speaking here too! I'm so not excited.
I'm more into the fact I'm taking Tai Chi. Ever since I was a little kid watching the Rangers I wanted to learn Karate, and once I found Kp I wanted to learn Kung fu. So, I guess, as I am into the martial arts in some form, I should take Tai Chi, because it's a Chinese Martial art and it's less strenous than Karate or Kung Fu.
So, I was thinking earlier. And, I was like, "what if MLK's speech wasn't successful or he never made the speech? Would America still be Segregated?" Your thoughts on this? And how do you think it would effect the Internet in this Alterna universe where MLK never made the "I Have A Dream" speech?

If I had any sort of semblance of being able to control my body, even prior to my having torn tendons in my left ankle, I would consider doing some sort of martial art as my PE credit. However, that requirement was waived for me due to my military experience and medical condition. You'll have to keep us up to speed on how it goes for you.
As for the segregated issue. . .
I don't think that the US would still be segregated due to other people standing up for their rights as American citizens. MLK was undeniably a very great man, however, there would be someone that would have taken his place in history were he to not have done his speech. At least, that's what I think. It might have taken longer for things to turn out the way they have now, but I would like to think that it was more the thoughts of most Americans rather than a speech that did what it did for civil rights. I might just be wrong or over optimistic in people, but I think that.

Are you guys getting sleet in your area of Texas? Not really, just a bit of icy precipitation right now. We've been lucky here in Lampasas county. It's sposed to freeze tonight and then tomorrow will be the worst of it for us. Other areas around us haven't been so lucky and have had a lot of problems with flooding and will have major ice issues tomorrow.

Wee... that turned into a week off instead of a 3 day weekend. Finally had classes today.
Most of the snow/ice has melted, it should all be gone by tomorrow.

Is your part of Texas back to the warmth greatness? It was yesterday, it got up to around 60 degrees again. But, today, it's cold again. Got to love winter in Texas.

I think it's mean of Texas to be so darn cold, cuz we're like supposed to be dessert esque. Eh? Yes, some parts of Texas are actually desert depending on who you ask (since there is no real definition of a desert out there).
