I like science, I'm just feeling mellowdramatic after that 3 hour test. Actually, I usually get my highest grades in science...excluding Chem, since that involves math. And I'd like math...if it weren't for the fact that I seem to be number dyslexic or something. EVERY single test or quiz, I switch numbers around when I'm in between steps, or change signs, or forget to write the exponent. Gwah. 'Tis frusterating. Haven't read Frankenstein. I usually hold off of the more "classic" stuff until I know for sure we're not reading it in school, becuase I don't want to read it 400 times. Woo, points! Oh, are there Star wars references/parodies? I love that sort of thing. -'Sha. -I read and write...but I kinda don't like reading what I wrote because I can't change it. I'm a spaz when it comes to editing my stuff. -Favorite book? Geez, toughy. I honestly can say that I don't have a favorite. i read too much, such a huge span of things. -Can't answer. See above. -No. Like any healthy person, I enjoy a good dose of attention. Oh I see, that's too bad. You'll really hate Physics, then. It's more math than Chem is. In fact...it's more math than math should ever be... *shudders* Lol I know how you feel! I find myself kicking myself everytime I get a math test back for dumb mistakes such as my all-time favourite of last year: "2 1 = 0" That's a good idea...I've read Frankenstein once before, and watched the movie: both for class. Luckily I forgot most of it, so reading it over again this year isn't too bad. It's a really interesting and at times, sad, book. You should read it if you like darker horror-type stories with moral lessons that get you thinking about human behaviour. Hmm, well I wouldn't want to spoil the episode or anything, so I'll save the details for when/if you see it. But let's just say that the Kim Possible world has a "Star Wars" of it's own...kind of like it's own Batman in "The Fearless Ferret" ;D I assume "'Sha" is some kind of fancy version of "yeah"? Okay then...since you managed to dodge my favourite book question, what is your favourite KIND of book? And what kinds of comics do you read?

I find myself kicking myself everytime I get a math test back for dumb mistakes such as my all-time favourite of last year: "2 1 = 0" Try getting 1+4.243+12.247=14.662....even though you had a calculator. That's what I do constantly. That's a good idea...I've read Frankenstein once before, and watched the movie: both for class. Luckily I forgot most of it, so reading it over again this year isn't too bad. It's a really interesting and at times, sad, book. You should read it if you like darker horror-type stories with moral lessons that get you thinking about human behaviour. Hmm, I'll have to add that to my pile. I certainly do like thsoe sorts of books; I just need to have something light and fluffy for afterwards, to lift my spirits. Hmm, well I wouldn't want to spoil the episode or anything, so I'll save the details for when/if you see it. But let's just say that the Kim Possible world has a "Star Wars" of it's own...kind of like it's own Batman in "The Fearless Ferret" ;D I am so excited to see the Fearless Ferret episode. I assume "'Sha" is some kind of fancy version of "yeah"? Okay then...since you managed to dodge my favourite book question, what is your favourite KIND of book? And what kinds of comics do you read? I like sci-fi, both hard and soft, serious and space opera; I like a good fantasy book, and I like compelling books that deal with human nature. So...a lot of them. In terms of comics...i don't get to read many, because I never can get to the comic shop, or I'm out of cash. I'm more of a DC Comics chick, and I'm all about the superhero genre. I love Astonishing X-Men, Runaways, Teen Titans, etc etc....team books can be pretty boss. Joss Whedon owns, btw. Do you ever do your hair in fun ways? Not really. Wash, comb, dry, repeat. Sometimes I straighten it, but that's about it.

Try getting 1+4.243+12.247=14.662....even though you had a calculator. That's what I do constantly. Aww, it happens. *patpat* I am so excited to see the Fearless Ferret episode. Ooooh...I was under the impression you had seen it based on my drawing. Hope I didn't ruin anything about it But you'll love it, it was a good ep ;D In terms of comics...i don't get to read many, because I never can get to the comic shop, or I'm out of cash. Have you seen Superman Returns? Did you like it? Have you seen Batman Begins? Did you like it? Oh yes, you are a Justice League fan as well, no? I guess that has all the DCers... Have you seen all of Justice League? Who's your favourite comic book hero? Villain?

Women for the win. Agree? If you mean girl power, heck yeah! If you mean am I a lesbian/bi then no, men for the win! DC? Have you seen Superman Returns? Did you like it? Have you seen Batman Begins? Did you like it? Oh yes, you are a Justice League fan as well, no? I guess that has all the DCers... Have you seen all of Justice League? Who's your favourite comic book hero? Villain? Seen 'em both...I own BB, actually. I was rather disappointed in Superman Returns; I thought the characters were pretty flat, and Lois was missing the bite that makes her...Lois. Kate Bosworth=worst Lois to date. I think Justice League may be the finest american cartoon ever made. No offense to KP, but JL is still my true love. I think I've seen all of them. Like, at least twice. I'm torn; I'm saving my cah for next year, but I really, really want to blow it on JL DVD box sets(and itunes cards, but whatev). My fav hero? Hurrr...I love the funny folk., in general...I'm a big Supes fan, and the X-men are sweet. The best villain is the Joker, with Lex Luthor in a close second. Mr.J is so freakin' scary and crazy that it's awesome.

Mr.J is so freakin' scary and crazy that it's awesome. Lol yeah, Superman Returns was kind of questionable. I agree that they picked a strange Lois. Though that goes for Batman as well... Katie Holmes? No doubt, I agree that JL was a good series. Had some strong plots and good humour. Not to mention Batman! <3 ;D The Flash was always hilarious. What makes Joker so awesome? I haven't really followed the comics or movies about him, to be honest. I liked the Lex from Smallville, even though I've only seen parts of that show. So...have you seen The Fearless Ferret yet? ;D I know you just saw ASiT...how'd you like it? Favourite KP character(s)?

Thought this thread could slip away, didn't you? Curses! Foiled again! Lol yeah, Superman Returns was kind of questionable. I agree that they picked a strange Lois. Though that goes for Batman as well... Katie Holmes? Yeah. DC comics is really striking out with the female protagonists in their movies. Joss Whedon is no longer attached to the wonder woman movie, for instance. This makes me very, very sad. No doubt, I agree that JL was a good series. Had some strong plots and good humour. Not to mention Batman! <3 ;D The Flash was always hilarious. Yup.It was high quality TV. It was much better than Smallville is,for sure.SV makes me want to play russian roulette with the its producers/writers.Whoever gets the bullet, I cease to suffer. What makes Joker so awesome? I haven't really followed the comics or movies about him, to be honest. I liked the Lex from Smallville, even though I've only seen parts of that show. He's just so maniacally insane. I'm going mostly by JL and some of the comics. I dunno. He actually creeps me out, which is something to be said for a villain in this genre. So...have you seen The Fearless Ferret yet? ;D I know you just saw ASiT...how'd you like it? Favourite KP character(s)? I saw it,and it was SWEET. The puns, and the gadgets, and the Batman Beyond-esque interplay between Ron and North, and and and....well,I loved it. A lot.Screw a supersuit, Ron needs to use a modified, or ningafied FF costume on missons. Hehe, any Batman satire using Adam West is great in my book, but this one totally tops Fairly Oddparents' effort. Ron's my fav character, so...yeah. He's adorable.

As someone who studies the German language, have you ever tried becoming a fan of some of those crazy Teutonic bands out there? Rammstein is the most obvious choice, but others like Oomph!, Megaherz, Eisbrecher, Witt, and Laibach (who are actually Slovenian) are also good. And if you like bagpipes/medieval stuff, I recommend In Extremo, Tanzwut, and Subway to Sally (their name sounds like a Midwestern Emo band, but they're actually really bad@ss.)
It's amazing how much random vocabulary you can pick up by listening to that stuff on a regular basis, and attempting to translate. Herzeleid.com is a great place for Rammstein translations.
But of course, it won't help you when you have to decide on one of the 1,000+ variations of der, die, or das to use on your test.

Yeah, never really listen to any of those bands, though I think my friend, who was an exchange student over the summer, has some of them. Maybe she could hook me up. The variations of der, das, and die make my brain want to explode. We're studying Genitive(sp?) case now. Hurrah. Oh, dude, Deutsch Spaßtag! We have this thing each year at the U of M, making videos and skits and songs and stuff. It's awesome. Our video last year was great; we did it in black and white, dubbed it badly on purpose. It was about a monster soccer ball(They have a theme each year;last year it was the world cup). "Das Schicksalsbal"! "Ein Ungeheuer? Ja, ein Ungeheuer!" I should totally put that up for you guys to watch. It's ridiculous.

The Ball of Destiny? Yes...do post that. I don't even know what we're studying now. I just know we're using a text called "Fokus Deutsch," which is sorely outdated. I could make so many jokes about it, but you wouldn't get them if you don't use that particular book. Or, alternatively, I could make jokes about the "Komm Mit" books we used in high school.

We use those Komm Mit books. It's so easy to make fun of their 90s-tastic styles.

I like the "techno" guy in book three. He's, like, wearing a scuba suit with a gas mask and other random junk.

I never got to book three; I graduated after book two, and upon beginning college, we began using the "Fokus Deutsch" texts. But like I said, they're funny enough.
Although, I haven't seen a diver in a gas mask...yet. And I love techno, too.
I also managed to dig up some of those old newspaper articles I wrote...apparently I was fairly angry back then.
