Out In The Streets is a cover of The Shangri-Las. That might explain why you've never heard it before.
The sound quality isn't the best, but it's what I found.

Ah, that would explain why some of the other episodes I've seen had a slightly different look. But, I agree that the stories are good in this set, and while, for me, really bad animation can ruin a show, I'd rather have a great story and good animation than excellent animation and a so-so story. Indeed. Of course, the earlier seasons have amazing episodes as well. There's a reason why many people who work, or have worked, at DC consider Batman:TAS as the definite Batman continuity.

Blondie was alright, but I think I'm more of a Cars fan. I like them, too - always liked this song: What's your favorite Cars song?

The fact that I'm pretty uninformed about music would be a better explanation ...but thanks for the much cooler-sounding reason. I actually like the Shangri-Las too...well, I like 'Leader of the Pack', which I guess is their big hit. Browsing through some of their other songs, a lot of them seem to have a similar theme...the girl who's in love with the 'bad boy' and no one else understands. Their costumes in that video are interesting...its hard to tell, but it looks like they were going for some sort of futuristic look.

Yeah, I'd like to get the earlier seasons as well, so I could see it from the beginning...I like seeing things beginning to end. But the DVD's are expensive on Amazon...probably because they're popular. However, we're planning some travel this summer, so maybe I could justify the purchases (to myself) because they'll also entertain the kids in the backseat while we drive. Yes... that is my evil plan...

A good example of Harley knowing full well what kind of person the Joker is, and not wanting him to be any different: The Joker's undergone extreme therapy during his latest stay at arkham. Though still very much insane his tendencies for murder and mayhem are all gone. Harley misses her murderous, abusive Mistah J. This new one is too... Well he's exactly like she's been dreaming about, but she realizes she'd much rather have her old Puddin' back. Luckily she has an idea. Not the best idea, but an idea none the less. Batman shows up and Harley is forced to improvise. It works. The Joker's back. Spurred by his rage, he even manages to give Batman quite the beating. Until he gets a hold of Harley's crossbow that is. He fires it at the glass tank filled with tapioca and motorcycles, and...

Let's Go! (I like the night life, baby!) Because 'she has wonderful eyes and a risque mouth'? I like that one too...it's good for when you're driving. It's also good to dance to when you're a little drunk. Not that I'd now anything about that.

She isn't a victim...she likes him that way. And, frankly, so do I. 'Nice' Joker is a little creepy...especially the panels right after she kisses Batman and just before he turns back into his old self. And I like that it wasn't just his survival instinct, but jealousy (and, okay, probably hatred of Batman) that turned him back into his old self. I just need to watch more of the show.

Today I was hired for a full-time summer job at the DMV. It starts in June. I can just imagine what I'll have transformed into by August. Meanwhile, you have to wonder what fun a kid would have with a...DMV...worker...action figure? Wut? *shrugs* EDIT: Oh, and...

I keep forgetting to ask, but who is that in your avatar? I know I've seen that person somewhere before... She's Nova from Star Blazers (or Yuki Mori from Yamato if you prefer the Japanese name and title). It was a show I watched after school and loooved when I was little...like maybe 6 or 7 years old. I thought Nova was too cool...I mean, she got to be in space...and there was a little romance between her and Derek, who I thought was cute, despite his lame Beatles haircut. I had forgotten about the show until a conversation with CJS from here reminded me of it.

Today I was hired for a full-time summer job at the DMV. It starts in June. I can just imagine what I'll have transformed into by August. Well, as long as you don't get your hair cut like Selma and take up chain-smoking, you'll probably be okay. But really, congratulations! From what you told me before it sounds like a good job that will fit into your schedule perfectly. [glow=yellow,2,300]So, yay! Celebrate! [/glow](Okay, after the exams are over). Meanwhile, you have to wonder what fun a kid would have with a...DMV...worker...action figure? Wut? *shrugs* You didn't know? Kids love to play things where adults stand in long lines and get annoyed. EDIT: Oh, and... Batman and the Joker...together. Hmm. Well...they hate each other; they fight anytime they're in the same area; they're on opposite sides of the law; the Joker frequently tries to kill Batman (and means it)... obviously they're meant to be together. Probably best not to give that pairing a 'title' using their initials like D/S though.

Do you ever feel this way? Sort of. I'd change the line to "I'll never grow old" though. As a teenager, I couldn't wait to 'grow up'...as in move out and be on my own and not have to deal with my parents anymore...but then I had been doing the 'mom' jobs in my house since I was about 14 (my mom decided she was tired of it and my parents were going through a divorce and...you get the picture). If I had to act like an adult, I wanted to be treated like one, too. And I had had jobs of some sort starting at 15, so getting a job never scared me, either. But I like the spirit of the song...because I don't want to become a boring, frumpy old stick in the mud who wears sensible shoes and elastic-waist polyester pants and can't remember what it was like to be young. Which might be part of why I hang out here.
