this is just a quick update:
the e-mail notification system is up. When a video is submitted, Ron will be automatically informed. When he approves or disapproves the video, the person who uploaded the video will be informed and told what happened to the video

hey i tryed to upload a vid but it kept telling me i was putting in the wrong code...  could some one please help me with this. Also i do have some vids that have kim possible parts with other clips from different games and shows. are those ok here? probaly not but i'll ask anyway. |

just about all the letters are capitalized.
the letters are case sensitive
i justed uploaded a test video, and it worked fine. you have to make sure to type in the correct case.
when it comes to the videos with other clips, that is up to Ron, it is his site.

Also unless Brian fixed it (I looked at the code and I was at a standstill like him), the code will upload the video before confirming the code. On a slow connection, I would refresh the page until you get a confirm with no "O" or "0" because they are very difficult to distinguish.

I had yesterday the same problem. I tried to upload a video, had to wait 15 minutes and then it said that it was the wrong code.

i am thinking about getting rid of the visual confirmation. i really do not think it will be required. Edit: i got rid of the visual confirmation. it really was not needed anyways since ron has to approve the videos before they appear on the site anyways. Plus, if a spammer tries to mess around, the code does make sure the video and picture are of the correct file type. anyways... with the visual confirmation gone, most people's problems should be alleviated. All who tried uploading a video before, try again, the site is brand new and is bound to have some glitches until i fix them  and on a different note, i am trying to figure out how to get a upload status progress bar to work, but it is very very hard. |

progress bars are easy to make from what I know about object programming, the problem is getting them to update based on the actual status  I might be of help, but I don't know, Java does have its minor differences. |

Just FYI... when things aren't all up and running yet, if you have some problems post here. I know a couple a folks might be getting disaproved messages or whatever cause of some little gltiches...

From my testing, the only way someone will get a dissapproved message is only if you hit the button to dissapprove. ______________________________________ cuurently the only glitch that i am aware of that still exists is that for some reason the file uploads before the page tells you that the informtion you supplied is wrong. That hard part is getting the information from the server about how much of the file is uploaded and what the speed is. Then based on that, calculate how much time is left in the upload. I am currently looking into how to get the info from the server, but it some advanced stuff |
