Well, no soon spacefreak and Ash, coz we've got about two days to go... That's a nice letter there tenn, just work out the bugs and try to structure it neatly, then you've got a letter that is sure to hurt! I agree with Nabusan, hold your e-mails till the actual day. And as for the spamfilter thing, I know how that works... Sure they them or store them in a junk folder, but later the management will have to produce a report on how much spam they got, from where and when. Trust me, if we all spam at once they'll probably have the longest report of the year! I'm not encourgaing it, I'm just saying. Killerbebe, I'm glad you got to e-mailing Mr. Huff, perhaps he'll consider sending our message out and maybe even visting us here.

Hmm, so far I'm at a page and a half single spaced. Would anyone mind if I posted it on here for someone to review and edit for me, or to at least point out strengths and weaknesses? This is my first time writing a fan letter of any kind and I would like it to be very effective in this campaign.

I feel this is more of a lost cause then an actual fight for five.
Disney could only milk KP for so long before it finally looses out on it.
Let it end now, it's had a good run. Let the staff move on to bigger and better things, I'm sure they don't want to be known as 'one trick ponies' and want to do other things besides KP.

Nea, I want one more season. I won't ask for a sixth year, but I think five would give the writers plenty of time to do any final stories that they might have going around in their heads. Even if it is only an additional 13 episodes, with one final movie in the end, I would be happy.
Its weird how the letter that I just finished writing (in under an hour) has almost brought me to tears (which is rare now, considering the inner strength that I've found with the help of KP and a little maturity).
I'm almost afraid to post this or email this because of the sheer length of it. But, I like many other writers in the world, need peer review and input to make their writing stronger. I'd almost wish I could expand upon that third paragraph, but that could easily add another half page alone. Please read if you have the time and comment or PM me with comments.
-------------------------------------------------------------
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to you in regards to the Disney animated series, “Kim Possible.” First off, I would like to congratulate everyone on the team for creating a quality program that reaches across the demographics and has attracted the attention of children of all ages, from those still in middle school to those with grandchildren. I myself fall in the middle of that range, being a twenty-year-old college student.
The show has a fascinating storyline with a wonderful cast that helps remind us all that with the right friends and confidence, we can achieve great things. If I recall from my childhood, this has been the image that Disney has worked hard to create and continues with to this day.
Personally, I have been having a rough time with many of the challenges of young adulthood, and yet somehow seeing the positive example set by the characters on Kim Possible has given me a renewed hope and inner strength, something that I have been missing for many years now. I have seen an increase in my grades at school and I have become much more active in my campus community and academic-based organizations, even taking leadership roles in a few of them. I can personally attribute this to an often repeated and often needed reminder, of the character Kim Possible, who often states, “I’m Kim Possible, I can do anything.” Disney is correct in this phrase, as it gives children and adults alike the often-needed reminder that anything is possible if they are confident in their abilities and work hard to achieve their goals.
While I did not become a regular viewer of “Kim Possible” until near the end of the third season, I have gone back and compared the animation and storylines of the earlier seasons to the most recent one, Season 4. In my opinion, the movie “So the Drama” served as a launching point to allow the writers and producers to take a fresh and exciting new direction for the series, and the quality shows throughout Season 4. As I am watching the fourth season, each episode has outshined the episode before it, and I am hoping this trend continues until the season finale.
From the information that I have gathered across various fan sites, the season finale will have a subplot of the graduation from high school – an important moment in the life of any person. From the episode “Clothes Minded,” we saw a wonderful and in many regards, accurate, depiction of the stresses that are involve in applying for colleges. However, I remember the difficulty of the transition between high school and college, and as with many of my peers, I found myself lost and in many regards, alone. It is an interesting time for many older adolescents where there are great deals of external and internal influences that can affect the future outcomes of their life.
It is my hope for “Kim Possible” to be renewed for a fifth season, depicting the characters Kim, Ron, and Rufus in college, with a young adolescent Wade continuing to help them on new missions against new villains. As stated above, college and young adulthood is a critical moment for many young adults, and I believe that your series “Kim Possible” would be an excellent role model for many high school students, in the process of preparing for college, as well as college students, who often fall back onto their childhood memories in times of need. While many young adults many not admit to it, I personally know that many of them go through a “second childhood.” I believe that with more intensive programming and storylines geared towards these older demographics, that viewership of “Kim Possible’ will greatly increase.
I have also learned that the majority of the profits of animated series and movies do not come from the media themselves, but rather through the merchandise centered around the media. In the past year, I have tried looking at my local Disney stores, as well as around major retailers in search of various Kim Possible merchandise, and have found very little. The items that I could find seemed to be targeted for the younger generation, particularly those still in elementary and middle school. May I suggest that Disney develop a new line of Kim Possible merchandise, with the young adult and adult demographics in mind? I personally would not mind having a CD case or DVD holder with graphics of Kim Possible on the front to hold my various DVDs and CDs, including “So the Drama” and “A Sitch in Time.” I would also like to see boxed sets of the various seasons of Kim Possible so that one day, when I have my own children, I can share with them the magic of “Kim Possible” that I have come to love.
I am urging whoever is responsible for the decision to end “Kim Possible” to reconsider their decision. It is, in my opinion, the last good animated series that Disney has produced in recent years. While I can understand the drawl for live-action series and movies, Disney cannot forget that its original magic started with an inspiration mouse drawn on paper with ink. The very foundation of Disney lies with its quality animation that is able to attract audiences of all ages. Kim Possible has become a smash hit and should be allowed to continue attracting people for at least one more season. I am hoping that Disney will use the success of “Kim Possible” as a model for future animated series in terms of story writing and animation techniques.
Again, I would like to thank you for allowing a fourth season of Kim Possible and allowing the magic of Disney to continue in my heart, and in the hearts of so many others.
Sincerely,
(insert name)

I just wanted to say I have a good feeling about all this. But i wanted to let you know, i was slightly upset at first about the date picked, 4/8. It's Easter sunday. But then I realized, what better date to start the campaign? The day of miricles. The resurrection. I do not know f this day was picked because of Easter, or was picked at random, or picked by divine spark. I'm not here to offnd other people's religions, but i want to use the old battle cry, "God is on our side"
I have posted notes on some other KP sites to let them know that we should try to centralize to this site for instructions, instead of having 8 different fansites do 8 different things.
Darth_Comrade: May I use your onwards to disney, save KP banner to be used on a diferent site?

ABL, that helps a bit, but I was more hoping to see the ratings of Season 4 in comparison to the other seasons, as well as how Season 4 is stacking up against other Disney shows and non-Disney cartoons. I just know that 3.3 million people saw the season 4 premiere. I remember reading the webpage, but I dunno where it is anymore. Nea, I want one more season. I won't ask for a sixth year, but I think five would give the writers plenty of time to do any final stories that they might have going around in their heads. I too will join you. Count me in. My nuclear missiles emails are ready. It's just a matter of time till we can strike. But for now, I want to dedicate this song to all those are willing enough to enter the fray and fight for KP. Invincible - Muse (look for the small link below to download) Follow through Make your dreams come true Don't give up the fight You will be alright Cause there's no one like you in the universe
Don't be afraid What your mind consumes You should make a stand Stand up for what you believe And tonight We can truly say Together we're invincible
During the struggle They will pull us down But please, please Lets use this chance To turn things around And tonight We can truly say Together we're invincible
Do it on your own It makes no difference to me What you leave behind What you choose to be And whatever they say Your souls unbreakable
During the struggle They will pull us down But please, please Let use this chance To turn things around And tonight We can truly say Together we're invincible
Together we're invincible
During the struggle They will pull us down Please, please Let use this chance To turn things around And tonight We can truly say Together we're invincible
Together we're invincible

Spacefreak, your e-mail is Excellent, it truly is. It's heartwarming to read and the grammar in it is better than mine! But, I didn't get the impression that you wanted a fifth season until I reached the sixth paragraph. I suggest you move paragraph six and put it instead of two, then move everything else down. What do you think? killerbebe, I don't mind you using my banner, (I always felt star wars and KP make a beautiful crossover!) go ahead! I'll be making more anyway!!! Luqkim, that's a very inspiring song, (but I don't think Disney would get the message if you sent that to them! ) do you have any thermal detonators letters ready you can share with us?

Who said about sending it to Disney? I dedicated that song to boost our morale! I have them letters ... hidden in my documents .. somewhere. Gah, I need to defrag my drives more often! It's so messy right now! If I'll find it, I'll show you a sample.

Time is short the day is close, so I must ask are we going to use a rallying theme in the subject line of the E-mails? I like "the Fight for 5" but we could use a "Save KP" or rot in hell Disney one saying should be picked to show unity. It will be easier for Disney to tally the e-mails, corporations, TV shows and politicians use the 1 letter to a 100 people are thinking the same thing rule. Some themes should be picked and quickly voted on.

Usually when I write emails to Disney the subject line is "Save [whatever the show is called]" because I have participated in several fights to save D.C. shows (though Kim is the only one I was die-hard for).

I agree, it would be good if we showed a stronger unity. I feel if we use the term "we" it shows we're all in it. Here are some suggestions: "We want Kim Possible Season 5!" "We want fifth Season KP!" "We stand for KP season five" Excluding 'we': "KP fans for Season five!" "Save KP, fans for five!" Any of those sound good?

But, I didn't get the impression that you wanted a fifth season until I reached the sixth paragraph. I suggest you move paragraph six and put it instead of two, then move everything else down. What do you think? Wait, so replace paragraph #2 with paragraph #6, and get rid of the second paragraph altogether? EDIT: I just read over it with the revisions, and it doesn't flow. I will revert to the original way of writing, but I will add a paragraph after the first or second paragraph stating that I want a fifth season of KP. That'll only be an extra four or five lines, and then it should flow from there.

^^ Sorry, I didn't mean remove the second paragraph. I jsut meant move it down...typo! Okay the second idea sounds better. I guess "We stand for KP Season Five" is pretty straight forward and clear. One day to go, people!
