NO it should not be the name, and since when does the name we call the alliance matter, we should care about three things, organizing days along with having a clear schedule planned out, participation, and saving/renewing these shows, whether we call ourselves the three blind mice or FFFKP, thats not the main thing, it can have a good name and yet if it doesn't have the three things above, the name won't matter.

OK there's something I gotta deal with right away and that's any confusion as to where our loyal and where this campaign is going.
DuoHimura has opened up a concern a lot of you have with our alliance with American Dragon and it's time all of you understand why I think this is a good alliance.
You all have to remember how the Walt Disney Company operates. Let's say they do decide to renew Kim Possible for a Season Five, what are they going to schedule at 8:30 P.M. on Saturday night which is PRIME TIME television and the major rating time. As good as KP is and it can draw the audience in for 8:00 to 8:30 P.M. but what then? This is a concern I've had from day one when we started this campaign. Disney will look at the marketing stats and might decline to renew the show simply because of the fact it's only half an hour long and they won't know where to place it. Disney would rather put two live shows on back to back instead to guarantee one hour of high ratings then just one 30 mins of high ratings. Do the math!
A weak 8:30 P.M. time slot leaves Disney with high rating for KP and low rating for the 8:30 P.M. time slot. Can the Replacements draw the rating Kim Possible would? Can the Replacements follow KP? Name another show that can. Name any animated show besides AMERICAN DRAGON that could pull in the ratings that KP can! In short it would have to be something live and again we'd lose out the chance to get more animated series back onto Disney Channel. Now isn't that what we want, more animated series back on the Disney Channel or do we just want it to become all LIVE shows?
Kim Possible and American Dragon back to back on Saturday nights at 8:00 and 8:30 P.M. would give Disney Channel a powerful hour of high ratings and guaranteed audience. This is a pitch the marketing board at Disney Channel might buy if we can sell it to them. I plan to sell it to the media and then the media might be able to sell it to Disney Channel.
Believe it or not guys there's a reason for everything that happens. I've looked at all angles of how we can get Kim Possible back for a Season Five. Then I had to look at the marketing aspects through Disney's eyes. Remember ogehsim, a long time ago when you talked about marketing ourselves to Disney. Well I did some marketing and came up with the perfect solution, Kim Possible and American Dragon together back to back. Even Steve Loter did both shows, a plus to this happening.
I wish we all could be fans of both shows, but that in the end isn't what matters. If you want to win the game, you gotta know how to play it. There's strength in numbers, in forging a campaign that will do something no other campaign has ever done before. Two shows fighting for each other is news that I can sell to the media worldwide. It bring attention to both causes and attention to what a lot of us want quality animation.

It's not going to sound like a baseball league, that's why we're having a vote here. And so far the MAJORITY is NO! The voting closes real soon, so keep voting cause so far NO is the answer.

This alliance has pros and cons to it. I was afraid to say that this alliance irk me a bit because I just knew it would slow things down. We lost one SKP Weekend due to this alliance to reevalulate the circumstances. Who suggested this alliance anyways? I haven't been posting much in the Fight For Five thread because I certainly don't know what to make of the alliance. I have mixed feelings about it and I'm more leaning on the negative side. It feels like we were making headway then -SPLAT- we're stuck in the mud. DuoHirma, brings up the point that I feel strongly about and that is we all can't support both shows, neither can we support a show we just don't feel anything for, by signing a petition or sending letters that feel artificial. I'm willing to support the alliance and promote it but only when it has a sense of direction because right now everything is going left and right.

I still vote YES, but it was my idea to begin with. why not just go back to our roots and resurrect the "Save Disney Animation" campaign? We could certanly do that. That movement was originally Tuc's idea, but it never really got off the ground. We The Fans (something I really would like to start with fan groups beside KP and Dragon, a united front from fans of all shows together) Sounds like the besic idea of Save Our Shows (Or SDS if it's just Disney shows). Wouldn't the FFKPJL be the way to go for a campaign name? IMO all these other names are way too long and way too dull. Fight For Five is short and dramatic, but it's not specific either. It could be about any show, heck, it doesn't even say it's about a TV show! I see nothing wrong with just The Alliance among us, but to be recognized - The Save Kim and Jake Alliance. The Alliance is too general and The Save Kim and Jake Alliance is too long (and dull IMO). Anyway, that's my two cents.

We should give the alliance a chance. Both shows are Disney, both shows have had Steve Loter working on them and both shows could help each other out in the long run.
A strong unified Saturday nights on Disney with Kim Possible and American Dragon back to back could solve all our future problems as this could be a huge rating hour for Disney and then Disney might just simply renew both series over and over again. Without us having to fight to get them back.

general? the disney animation league is about as general as it gets. TA speaks noting about who or what it is about. It only says that there is some sort of alliance. DAL specifies that it is about Disney Animation, specifically preserving quality Disney Animated programs. The only thing that isn't spelled out is that we're talking about two DC shows in particular. But "The Alliance" doesn't say that either.

Hi All,
Well, my Vote would be No for the name change to the Disney Animation League.
Once again, I throw my support behind the Kim Possible /American Dragon Jake Long Alliance.
I believe in keeping it simple. Kim Possible Fight For Five, American Dragon Jake Long Fight For Three, and the Kim Possible/American Dragon Jake Long Alliance.
I think that fighting for both shows separated and together are both good Idea's. We should use all of our energies to fight the real enemy here, which is the way the Disney Corp. treats it's shows and not bickering over the small stuff like name changes so far into the fight(s). I have no problem with putting anything up for a vote, but what I don't want to see is people leaving because things did not go their way. This also goes for if one or the other show does get a new season and the other show does not. It could happen.
I don't fear the future, I embrace it, and wish to be a part of it. This fight is more than just Kim Possible and American Dragon Jake Long combined. It is much more than that. I mean, if we don't fight for our great shows like these, then when do we fight? I believe that the Alliance can hold and will succeed. But it takes people to support each other in their efforts.
Some people keep saying that the more shows that are made can only get worst, and never get better. I disagree. For with the right people, I believe that quallity and quantity can both be achieved. So, as far as I'm concerned, I have nothing to lose and everything to gain, by fighting on. No matter what the odds are, some thing are just worth fighting for.
FYI. Coming out of all this is a Web Site which is going to not only continue the fight for these shows listed above, but is going to expand to fight for other shows of the past, as well. It is called Save Our Shows at:http://www.saveourshows.org/ So, This is not Not the End of the World, it is only the beginning of the Future to be.
So, keep up the fight. Kim and Jake need our help. Ron and Rose would never give up to save Kim and Jake, and neither should we. I see a picture in my head of Kim and Jake trapped behind bars in Disney's Vault. And Ron and Rose in their Ninja Outfits, making an Alliance to save them both. That is what we have here. Never give up, Never surrender.
Please and Thank You,
Tony M. Victorino

I agree with you lordvictorino. Keep in mind people that saving Kim Possible could well end up meaning the show hanging by a thread anyways if Disney doesn't have any other good animation. The Disney execs could much more easily write off one cartoon then two and never make any more. Saving both shows would encourage Disney on the other hand to keep up with the animation, and thus keep KP and ADJL around. The shows support each other, in their own way, even if we don't support the other. Either way we look at it, I think we can overwelming say that the popular answer to this question is no. So can we focus on other things now... Like the Happy U Year competition. (why are so few posting their )
