In all seriousness now, I think a little RonGo is fine, but honestly, when the age difference is more than 10 years, it creeps me out. Then the fact that a good friend of mine from High School's parents were 15 years apart (maybe 16) would make your skin crawl? I am a firm believer in the thought "Age is just a number" I'm not. While I admit that the age thing is purely subjective (as opposed to objective factors like, say, gender and marital status), I just think it's creepy to be romantically involved with someone of your grand/parent's or descendant's generations. Romance (and its logical conclusion, marriage) should be between equals, and that kind of age discrepancy seems to make one definite superior and one definite inferior. So, no, I could not be counted as a fan of Ron with older women. NacoNinja, grandparent's age differences in relationships is a bit odd even for me. I'm talking within a generation age differences (according to ancestrymagazine.com a generation averages around 25 years), so that means for someone my age (22) someone that could be up to the age of 47ish. I am a firm believer in the thought "Age is just a number" Too true. A man is only as old as the woman he feels. You made me laugh... I hadn't heard that one, and I've heard ones that will curl your toe hairs (they will NOT be posted on public forums). I should note though, that I could also see him with someone younger due to his "free spirited" attitude on life. Joss wouldn't be too much of a stretch in my mind for him.

I don't really care that they are, but I can't fathom why. There I go, opining with all the subtlety of a baseball bat to the knees.

But you know i think its perfectly fine to actually date someone who is older than you by 5 to 15 years. Like an 18 yr old guy dating a 33 woman... unless of course your against the age diff then i dont see a problem

Older women rock!
Brook is 3 years older than me.
Not that that matters much at all when you're in your mid-fifties, LOL!
But when you're 21... it VERY cool!

Maybe I'm odd in asking this, but why is there a stigma against people with a difference in ages (outside of obscene like 18 and 60+)? As long as both people are consenting adults and they love each other... I don't think there should be a problem.
And RD brings up another point (probably unintentionally), at 21 dating an "older woman" is cool. But at 50, no one cares that you two are different ages. Can someone explain that one to me please?

I'm fine with Ron and older women. I like him and Shego together. Gosh that makes me sound like a hypacrite for the fact that I dislike Drakken/Kim becuase of there age difference. I don't know why I dislike the other for that reason, it doesn't make sense at all does it?

Well, to be honest, I never really thought about the age difference until the whole DraKim thing became somewhat legitimate, and made me wonder why a relationship between and older person and a younger one becomes magically OK if the younger is at least 18. So, I'm generally against intergenerational romance as a rule, though, as I said in my previous post, it's all objective. It's not necessarily wrong, I just think it's kind of icky to date someone old enough to be your parent (or older), or young enough to be your daughter (or granddaughter, or...) Also, there's the issue of whether Ron would like to be with "older" women. From what we've seen on the show, the only older women he's been attracted to have been the college girls in "The Golden Years," Shego in "Tick-Tick-Tick," Miss Kyoko in "Crush," and (arguably) Britina in that same episode. All these girls are, at most, in the late 20s. So I don't see Ron falling in love with a woman the age of say, Dr. Director or Anne... As for the "generation=25 years), I'm not sure if a 47 year old woman would count in the same generation as you, Whisper. That age is close to the age of my parents...

I actually would like to date a woman who is older than me by about 3 to 7 years. that way it would rock and we would understand each other better because we would be within the same generation.

As for the "generation=25 years), I'm not sure if a 47 year old woman would count in the same generation as you, Whisper. That age is close to the age of my parents... 47 would be older than my mom (who is currently 43) and the same age as my dad right now. I'm just talking statistical averages that 25 years is generally accepted as "one generation". My folks would have a conniption if I brought home someone older than them, at least until we sat down and talked things through (and after a few beers to calm their nerves). I don't think it'll be a problem, I'm typically attracted to women within about 12 years of my age. I just don't think age should be a deciding factor in whether or not to have a relationship with someone, and as laid back as Ron is portrayed.... I don't think he worries too much about it either. Off Topic: Drakkim bugs me for so many reasons that have nothing to do with age, and everything to do with my theory that their personalities just would not work together without a lot of forgiveness and personality growth on both of their parts.

Depends. If it's Nana the no, nnnnoooooooooo, no, no, no. If it's Shego? Then yes. I am after all one of the biggest Rongo fans out there, and the Rongocratic Representative from the state that shall not be named by by the Representative.

Me? Oh, well, since I'm asexual that kinda stuff just doesn't worry me, or I just don't care, at least not about appearance, but you know what they say, "Your body is a temple unto the Lord," so I guess it does matter to a certain extent, but only when it's controlled by said person, we shouldn't judge people by things they can't change, to a certain point, after awhile others do need to step, but I'm talking in circles now and I'm not even sure what I'm saying so I'll just shut up.

Wow, I have been completely forgetting to stop by here (changed computers, and somewhere along the lines it got lost from my Bookmarks list).
And I think Ron's bouts of immaturity are the reason he would work out with an older woman (not Nana old *shudder*). He brings a bit of child like perspective to the table, but also knows how to put his nose to the grindstone and get things done when he needs to.
For someone like Shego, who tries to stay emotionally detached (at least, that's my explanation for her caustic attitude) Ron would be the perfect person for them to set anchors with and be able to express a lot of that pent up emotional turmoil. Yeah, there's going to be a lot of the time that he has no clue what's going on during this, but he's empathic enough to know when someone needs a shoulder/hug/presence while they talk.
On the flip side of the coin, someone like Shego would do Ron wonders in keeping him from being completely immature all the time. There'd be times that she's crack the proverbial whip and tell him to straighten his crap out, and there'd be times that she'd let herself relax and enjoy the little things that commonly go overlooked in a fast paced life.
Not to mention both Ron and Shego know how to relax. I'm sure Ron would have no issues what-so-ever going to Greece with Shego to the spa for a day of mudbaths, saunas and massages. And given the right incentive, I could seriously see Shego cuddling on the couch watching "TV Trash" on a Friday after a long week.
And if I see a RoNana story pop up on FF.net I am SOOO going to go postal, just fair warning.
