This has probably been discussed before but...
Could Shego be anything more than just a sidekick? Does she even want anything more? We know from Sitch in Time that she's capable of taking over the world, but how comes that's the only time she ever tried?

It could have to do with her feelings for Dr. D. Maybe she feels a sense of loyalty to him because he has been there for her.

We know from Sitch in Time that she's capable of taking over the world, but how comes that's the only time she ever tried? Maybe, she's only In for the fighting with Kim Possible and not the Taking Over The World scheme? She tried in ASiT only because her Future self told her to ... and what's more ... ASiT never really happened ... so nobody told her to take over the world herself ...

I think Shego is fine by being a sidekick. And I don't remember where, but I seem to remember Drakken promising Shego a continent when he takes over the world. And Shego prolly just want a continent.

Drakken promised her Iceland, merely a giant volcano with hills, in one episode. I don't think she has enough leadership skills to go alone.

She's happy being a sidekick, I think because she get's to do a lot of evil without really trying. ;D

Perhaps Shego is rarely happy. She is just waiting for her opportunity to strike and take over, done with being Drakken's apprentice.

Yeah, y'all is right. She probably just doesn't want the responsibility of ruling the world, either. Even in the movie she seemed perfectly happy just with Middleton.

Even Kim's little cousin pointed out that Shego could be running things... ye gods man, a Sitch in Time was based on this idea...
then again Shego does keep filing her nails without taking off her gloves...

Could Shego be anything more than just a sidekick? Does this answer the question?

Yes, but for reasons unknown until "Graduation", she stuck by Drakken. Who knows why she didn't break away for world domination before ASiT?

She can't be bothered. She doesn't have the bitter drive to show the world what a genius she is, which makes Drakken or Dementor keep coming back.
Besides being buried in rubble or sent to jail every so often, life for Shego is fairly sweet. She'll commit to a plan if it interests her, such as the weather machine in "Job Unfair" (she was the one figuring out how to operate it) but not the Destructo-bots in "Car Trouble" (which she was content to watch being destroyed before she pulled out a ray-gun and left our heroes facing serious molten metal peril), but in the absence of someone else's evil scheme, she'll happily sit on the beach.
Even in ASIT, she was content to watch Kim fight the giant stone monkey before her future self gave her the idea to take the time monkey for herself.

Shego is a supervillain because she has superpowers...& she's really dangerous...

Shego is a supervillain because she has superpowers...& she's really dangerous... Well, yes, she's superpowered and a villain, so she's a supervillain. But I don't think she would decide, on her own volition, to take on the whole world.

Is Shego a supervillain? Depends, is Darth Vader a super villain? 'Cause she's basically the Disney version of him.
