Well, I've heard Whedon has had a tendency to kill off "love interests," so I think that had to factor in the Dr. Horrible thing. And Ron, at the end of his speech in the bedroom indicated he decided not to reveal his feelings to Kim, so it makes sense. I confess; I haven't seen "So the Drama" in months. Yes, I did, actually! This one might require a bit of blabby background information: I have OCD, which makes me think irrationally about some things, and it makes me get super-"religious" about some things. Combine that with my uber-Christian grade school, and I swore off Halloween around age 10, deciding it was childish and demonic. xP But, in other settings and with my religiosity diminished (in that aspect, anyway), this year I decided that I would actually celebrate Halloween. I'm glad I did; it's quickly becoming one of my favorite holidays. So I dressed up in a Gothy outfit, went to the annual Halloween kids' party at a local church with my family, briefly went trick-or-treating with my little sister, carved a pumpkin, baked pumpkin seeds, stuffed myself on chocolate, wrote a spooky-themed story, and watched the Danny Phantom Halloween episode. It was a lot of fun. Awww. I wonder why...

Well, I've got OCD as well, I know it can be a pain. Especially when something triggers a bad thought, and you can't get rid of it ... ever have those? Well, when I was a kid, I loved dressing up for Halloween, but I never really thought I was going to turn into a Satanist or anything. I really don't do anything for it these days, but I do love the candy corn. From your LJ it looks like you've really gotten into the Danny Phantom fandom recently. What drew you to the show and what are your favorite episodes (so far?)? Oh, and I don't know if you saw this, but I found this clip and, well...

Well, I've got OCD as well, I know it can be a pain. Especially when something triggers a bad thought, and you can't get rid of it ... ever have those? Truly? Small world. My empathies. Yeah... xP Especially when it comes to sexual things or anything related to bad words or--God forbid--the unpardonable sin. Sometimes contamination. Fun. Me too. We still have some left over. "So far"? I've seen them all. *smirk* When I obsess, I OBSESS. I like the show for several reasons. I love cartoons, first of all. I started liking it rather spontaneously when I saw it on TV in July and couldn't stop watching. It's an awesome show partly because of their idea of ghosts. I like the idea of ghosts, as a plot device, anyway. Hm... there are more intangible ( pun pun pun) aspects of it too, things I don't quite understand but I know I like them. Plus, the fanfic for DP is quite varied and fun. It also gets philosophical at times, e.g. "If Danny's half ghost, is he half dead?" and shows him dealing with those angsty types of problems. There's quite a lot of angst potential the show never touched on, actually. Not to mention Danny's inner darkness that manifests itself from time to time but is rarely addressed. It makes you think. Ummm... "The Ultimate Enemy" rocks, as does "My Brother's Keeper," "Control Freaks," "The Fright Before Christmas," and "Reality Trip." Ohhhh yeah, I've seen it. But thanks for sharing. (I can hardly wait for the sequel!) Have you seen the most recent comics?

Sorry for the delay. I'm lazy like that. Well, I don't want to trigger any OCD angst, but I know that once I was diagnosed with it, it made things easier. Not that it doesn't happen nowadays, but at least now it I know what's happening. As for Danny Phantom... I saw "My Brother's Keeper" recently, and I can see why it's one of you're favorites (well, besides being a good general episode ) - that "Just who are you?" dialogue near the end when Spectra's about to suck everything out of Danny seems like you're kind of stuff. I also saw ... forgot the title ... the one where Desiree grants Sam's wish that she and Danny never met. I liked that episode as well. There do seem to be some problems with the show - the action scenes aren't exactly top-caliber, and Jack Fenton seems to be the "Dumb Dad" on overdose. But the show does have its positive traits - too bad it didn't use them as much as it should. What are you doing for Christmas?

Not that it doesn't happen nowadays, but at least now it I know what's happening. Knowing what it is for me doesn't help (since I obsess over having OCD. xP) but you're right, I'm angsting. Or whining. Take your pick. Glad to know you're coping. Woah. You know me well. That's pretty much my favorite line of dialogue in the entire series. Angsty and all, and it also raises some basic questions about Danny's existence... Um... "Memory Blank," I think? Fortunately for me, I don't like action scenes a whole lot. XD I agree that the show has its flaws--The more I look at Sam, in particular, the more I think that she's a little hypocritical. Of course I beg to differ about how often it uses its positive traits, but being as in-love with it as I have been lately, I'm not exactly unbiased. ;D Hm... We go to the Christmas Eve service at church, then come home. My family usually opens one gift each on Christmas Eve--if we remember, we make cookies and milk for Santa, and we still do stockings. On Christmas, my sister and I can wake up as early as we want to open our stockings, but we can't open the presents under the tree until a set time when we're allowed to wake up our parents. (I think I might sleep in later though, this year. ) We open presents, then mull around until lunch. Not any traveling/family (though we go visit our grandparents around New Year's, and celebrate Christmas again then). What about you?

Sorry I haven't posted sooner. How's everything going? And now you've got me hooked on Danny Phantom! Well, not really, but I do watch Danny Phantom more often than I used to. I've even downloaded Danny's Christmas episode and "Phantom Planet." (I could say more on them, but I don't want to clog your thread, so...) Do you have any pets (or is that too personal a question)?

It's okay! I'm sick right now but we have a long weekend, so I should have time to recover/get caught up on homework. Really? *evil laugh* My plan has come to fruition! I don't mind thread-clogging at all. This thread probably needs it. Personal? No way! Yeah, my family has a dog--a Lhasa Apso named Cocoa. Also, my little sister has a gecko. We used to have fish, but you know how that goes. Their lifespans are so short, it's sad.

Sorry for not replying for, oh, over a month or so ... I've been meaning to do it, but I always forget about it before I get around to it. Sorry. Anyway ... Phantom Planet - blast, I think I forgot what I wanted to say. Well, maybe I can remember... I thought initially the reason for Danny getting rid of his ghost powers was a bit weak (not "going ghost" because Master's Blasters was doing a good enough job I could understand, but removing his ghost self? A bit too extreme, don't you think?) Then I rewatched some of the episode on iTunes tonight, and remembered that he had much better reasons for doing so (always having to fight ghosts all the time, causing his friends and family to be in danger, and most definitely "the last straw" - his parents getting arrested.) I think Spider-Man 2 did a better job of dealing with that kind of dilemma, but Phantom Planet handled it better than I remembered. (Minor nitpick - when Danny "unwent ghost", he shouldn't have been wide-eyed; his eyes should have been closed in resignation to what was about to happen. But all the characters did treat the issue with the appropriate gravity.) Also good was the Jack-Vlad scene in space - it allowed Jack to show a greater range of emotions than his usual "happy-and-stupid" attitude, and displayed him as something other than incompetent. (And Vlad was good in it, too.) (It might be a toss-up on whether that, or Jack's wailing on Vlad in "The Million Dollar Ghost" was Mr. Fenton's finest hour. I think maybe the "Million Dollar" one might edge out, as Jack's turning on Vlad in "Planet" was laced with revenge/malice, I think, while the "Million Dollar" Vlad-kicking was motivated by Jack's love for his son.) I'd write more, but it's getting late... What did you think of Neil Patrick Harris' song-and-dance at the Oscars?

Sorry for not replying for, oh, over a month or so ... I've been meaning to do it, but I always forget about it before I get around to it. Sorry. It's okay, I barely ever come here anymore anyway. Never seen Spider-Man 2, but yeah, Danny was kind of under pressure anyway--just a matter of time until he cracked. I liked the electrocution sequence--at least, better than in Memory Blank. The animation there, so awkward, ugh. Yeah, the eyes tend to make the scene, don't they? Right. Finally Jack gets characterization, even if he was a little dark-side-ish vengeful there. Like son, like father... Kinda funny that they had all those half-naked dancing ladies around a gay guy. XD But he sang well, definitely.
