Bonnie... Love, her... Love to hate her... but you have to admit, there's something more to her than meets the eye.
Why does BonBon act the way she does?

I'm actually surprised you didn't put down, "Once was friends with Ron, but had a falling out."

Well that seemed less likely or obvious since the only boys we ever see Bonnie associate with are her dates, nothing platonic (unless you count her bribing Reiger to fix homecoming)

Although a history of friendship/conflict with Kim and/or Ron might explain it, she usually struck me as a regular "mean girl" that was in it for the popularity. Of course, there could be problems at home *coughConnieLonniecough* that fostered this, like her family's unreasonable expectations for her *coughtalentshowcough*, but she is responsible for her own actions.

At last ! Someone that knows there is a DIFFERENCE between an explanation and an excuse !! (better watch it with stating opinions like that around here - you may offend He Who Knows Better .... ;D )

I think they used to be friends. Kind of like what happened with Kate and lizzie on lizzie McGuire.

Well it's definitely believable... unrequited love mutating into hate.

No, not the P.L.... her hatred is specific to Kim and doesn't (usually) seem to proceed into unbalanced or psychotic. ((maybe a lesser degree of PL, perhaps just a maladjusted lesbian?)) -shrugs- If you're writing the story that way there's no reason to carry it to cliche'. But obviously there's multiple interpretations as the poll lists Personally, I prefer to stay away from the 2d depiction of Bonnie as the relentless irredeemable antagonist "Ice Queen". I've seen several good stories of the broken friendship or unrequited friendship as well. Such as Kim saving Bonnie from bullies earlier in their lives, and Bonnie wants to be her friend, but her sisters or her own pride get in the way. This can lead to most of the scenarios above.

Perhaps the reason she hates Kim is the same reason the Janitor hates J.D.? ;D

I chose "She secretly wants to be Kim's friend".
Basically, Bonnie deep down is a nice person, it's just she feels she's not allowed to be and acts the way she does because she thinks she has to.

From what i have seen of her, i had to choose the last option. She was mean to Kim ever since they were little, same with Ron as said by himself

Either Bon-Bon has a past conflict with Kim or she's just a shallow ice queen...or maybe both

Other- Am I the only one who sees her as a Bowler Hat Guy-esque character? I bet there was one thing she took to heart where Kim beat her, and the grudge started. She just needs the lesson of Keep Moving Forward! Doesn't make HU any less infuriating, but that's how I see her.
