Okay, Something I noticed recently... Is Shego well and truly green? Now this, and some other scenes, lead me to wonder. Basically, the fan community pretty much universally presents Shego as being a shade of light green, green-gray, mint, etc... Yet, there are a few fan arts that present her as having actually a pale-to-normal skin tone. So, is Shego truly a pistachio pixie? a minty malcontent? a verdant villainess? Or is she a victim of bad lighting and poor fashion sense? At least three of her brothers have normal skin tone, even when "glowed up." Is it possible that what makes shego LOOK green is her uniform and the light cast by her Team GO glow?

I'm guessing it because of her powers? If the rest of Team Go have it, then I'd think it is. She is definately a slight hint of mint.

If she's got any green in her skin, it's very, very slight. I see her as more of a sickly pale color.

Her skin tone has always been a bit tricky to get down right, as Fuzzy Pickles says sometimes it could pass off as a yellow-ish tone. And it could be a slight yellow, but it would look green because of her outfit. Kind of like using grays to substitute blues in painting.

I think she's supposed to be pale green, like this (might just be the lighting): Compare Mego's purple tone here: Except that Hego's not blue (which would make him look like Drakken) and the Wegos aren't red (which would make them look like demons.) Usually Shego just looks unusually pale.

In bright sunlight (at the beach), photoshop puts her skin color at RGB 255/255/221, hex: ffffdd, which is barely on the greenish side of yellow, but also very close to pure white. Comparatively, Kim (the purest sample I could find) is RGB 253/205/185, hex: fdcdb9, putting her way over on the red side of orange, and obviously significantly darker than Shego. Hmm, somebody should definitely create swatches for the different characters in different lighting conditions... Hint hint .

Interesting. What about this line: Ron: Wow, Shego! You look green! I mean, greener. Which suggests she is green-skinned, even if she appears pale there. Shego: I keep telling them, and I send them pictures, but they still can't get my skintone right!

Ron: Wow, Shego! You look green! I mean, greener. Aw, she looks so harmless in that picture! ;D Ironically, doing the same test as above, she lands well in the area of orange. In fact she's much closer to Kim's skin tone than her default greenish yellow; though obviously desaturated and greyish. (I just started coloring a few days ago, so this is actually fascinating to me ;D)

Part of the problem is these screen caps are compressed with Jpeg... so it's possible whatever compression settings were used may have skewed her color one way or another.

Could also simply be the settings of your monitor, which aren't standardized (and besides, they're customizable). Her original skin color does look a little bit warmer on direct playback from the dvd, but to my best judgement, she still lands in the green area of yellow. If we were to try to eliminate all the elements that could skew the results, we'd have to get an original beta copy and a standardized monitor. Or better yet, the original color code. However it does sadden me that all my future fan art will likely be fundamentally flawed... (sigh)...

A slight green tinge. She isn't green the way Drakken's blue though. She has a Goth look, despite the futuristic jumpsuit, because of the dark hair and paleness, it's unavoidable. I'd love to see her dressed as a Goth XD

Shego's definitely green, IMO; she looks green and is referred to as green on the show etc. Her skin is pale green, the outline of her hair is green, and so is, like Donteatacowman said, her 'noseline'.
I can see where it can be confusing sometimes, though. Sometimes she's a warmer yellow-green, and sometimes a more obvious green-green. It all depends on the lighting-- but they're all some shade of green.
I agree with Zoza that she's not green the way Drakken's blue, though-- she's a very pale green in contrast to Drakken's stronger blue.

The show itself was never very good about her color. Sometimes she looks pale green, sometimes bright white, sometimes kind of a grayish-green hue...
Like Drakken's size, the cheerleaders' legs, Kim's hair, Ron's ears, and Shego's own boobs, Shego's color is another one of those changes-from-episode-to-episode things.

I'd say green tinted skin. Is it possible that what makes shego LOOK green is her uniform and the light cast by her Team GO glow? I tested that myself when picking a color for Shego's skin. When you sample a screenshot and put the color against white it looks even greener. It's actually the jumpsuit and hair what makes her look like she has a more yellowish green tone, and makes it even paler. Donteatacowman and Ninnik have a point about the noseline. Oh oh, also, she often tires to get a tan, yet her skintone doesn't change.

Oh oh, also, she often tires to get a tan, yet her skintone doesn't change. Ones I had an idea, that maybe Shego don't like the colour of her skin and maybe that's way we can see her so often "toasting" I must say that I had also some problems with the colour of Shego's skin. For the first time i thought her skin is withe. Now I can agree that her skin might be "pale green". But it often depends on the light that sometimes I see her withe skin and sometimes pale green skin.
