About Last.fm Last.fm is a music service that learns what you love...
Every track you play will tell your Last.fm profile something about what you like. It can connect you to other people who like what you like - and recommend songs from their music collections and yours too.
…and as you use Last.fm, you make it better for you and everyone else.
When you recommend some music to a friend, or you tag it, or you write about it - even just listening to it - you shift the song's importance on the site. It'll be recommended to different people, because you've listened to it. It'll move up our music charts and maybe more people will hear it because you thought it was good.
Once it's set up, it will collect all the information on your computer about what you've listened to and send it back to your last.fm profile. It'll then be linked to your account and will send information about what you're listening to back to your library as you do it
And why the hell should I bother doing this you silly Brit?
Glad you asked... because you love music! Once you've got data on your profile the website will recommend new bands and events to you and there are often free full-length tracks to check out.
Even better is when you add people you know to your friends list, you can compare your music taste to theirs and see what they're listening to
So come and join the fun, post your account names in this thread! Go!

Point taken. I tend not to click anything as well.
But you never know when some retard may happen to look at my signature, see music is a different color, think "OOO, purdy color!", and click it because they think clicking is the most funnest activity you can do with a computer.
"Somehow I don't see Trent Reznor as a plushie." Duke Random Guy ZT Music, and remember... I OGC everyday.
