Your brother's wife (18:16) So you can do your Sister's husband without it being incest? Sweet. I'm sure the Bible has strict laws on adultery.

And Funkyfist, Hannah, FusionFox ... your behavior in this thread has been extremely immature. You remind of all the guys who used to tease me in middle school, and that's not a compliment. So if you can't say anything mature, please don't say anything at all. I'm not saying anything against you, I just thought how odd it was that this pic got so much attention, and how even though it's just a drawing it quickly became a topic of incest. Ninja Naco didn't come up on here and say "INCEST IS AWESOME I DREW THIS PIC", so I really don't see how the topic just exploded, that's when I just came in and did my sarcastic comment. It's just a picture, none of us have to agree with it, or better yet, we don't have to comment on it if you disagree with it. I don't see how I was teasing you, especially that you're comparing me to middle school bullies. Believe me, I was teased and picked on harshly in Middle School, and I haven't seen anything resembling that from me or anyone else. In general, we all need to just shut up and chill for a while. Was that mature enough for you?

You remind of all the guys who used to tease me in middle school, YEAHAHAAA!! and that's not a compliment. oh. seriously though, i don't think anyone really meant to tease/flame you. you obviously knew that there was a very high chance of a negative reaction to your picture (why else would you put that massive disclaimer in your deviantart submission). then when all that potential disgust/annoyance with the picture started to die down when someone made a quick and harmless joke (which was not about you), you seemed to want to bring in more "drama" by complaining about when people came into the thread who were NOT offended by the picture. and if that's comparable to your middle school teasings, then god, you had it easy.

If I may just put in my two cents...
Ninjanaco did point out that the Bible made no mention of cousin relationships even after it listed forbidden ones.
Now I'll also speak from the Islamic perspective where we believe that the laws given to Christians in their bible are also passed on through the Quran, but perhaps more specifically.
The Women 4:23 -
"Prohibited for you (in marriage) are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, the sisters of your fathers, the sisters of your mothers, the daughters of your brother, the daughters of your sister, your nursing mothers, the girls who nursed from the same woman as you, the mothers of your wives, the daughters of your wives with whom you have consummated the marriage - if the marriage has not been consummated, you may marry the daughter. Also prohibited for you are the women who were married to your genetic sons. Also, you shall not be married to two sisters at the same time - but do not break up existing marriages. GOD is All Forgiving, Most Merciful."
Notice again, cousins were not listed.
Now it's worth mentoning as well what type of incest we're talking about?
Some people when referring to incest are talking about the relationships that are referred to above in the holy books.
However, I think the real issue here is that most of us are referring to incest in regards to what is considered illegal by governing parties, whether be it the political or denominations of Christianity. And once again, they all differ.
For example, in the Middle East as I know it these relationships are practiced, but more so in the past than nowadays. No European country has banned cousin marriages. It's also legal in Canada and Mexico.
So, I think it's worth clearing up exactly which view of incest we're talking about here.

Way to over exaggerate - it was only one. One MJ pic is one pic too many. At least she posted 'still pretty black' Michael.

Sorry. I've cooled down from last night.
My apologies for being so hot-headed, accusing people of things, etc.. And Funky's cartoon was funny - did you make it around Valentine's, or draw it because of this topic?

Hannah's posts don't make me laugh, but they do make me do certain sounds that people stare at me for.

Incest is a widespread, virtually universally taboo, considered wrong in almost every culture, and yet cousin marriage has been practiced, even encouraged, in many of those same cultures. So your contention that "cousin romance must be incest" fails the tests of history and time. Just out of curiosity, but do you know why cultures, such as the English, married cousins? Theoretically, yes, though realistically speaking that's not really an option. She meant it in real terms, like if you had a choice between a female cousin and a non-related female. Just as Tim does. I'm against incest and marrying cousins because I come from an ugly family.

Mickey, the two most common reasons were/are lack of options (common in wide spread areas such as the american old west where eligible partners were literally few and far between) and in the case of Royalty in Europe and Egypt, concentration of power in the hands of as few as possible. of course, there are numerous psych arguments about why some people do it, but those are the two practical reasons. the comic image was cute

Oh, I know all about the reasons why it was practiced. I was just curious if NinjaNaco knew.

Yes, I knew. Of course, with the noble/royal houses, it became a multi-generational habit, which causes the chances of birth defects and whatnot to increase. So, while I'm fine with cousins marrying, I'd advise that their children, and their children's children, etc., not follow in their footsteps in that regard.
Also, I do know that a number of people today, even in modern Western societies, fall in love with their cousins. So, it's not impossible for Joss and Tim to fall for each other.

-facepalm- okay, someone needs shot for those puns... I'm not sure who exactly, but someone does.
as to J and T falling for one another... They come from very similar backgrounds, similar values systems, both very smart, similar ages... heck, throw out the whole sharing a few tens of a perecnt of DNA, and it's a perfect match
