Thusly, I now throw down my gauntlet for Twila's Second Annual KP AMV Contest.

So, I ask myself:
Disney good-endings aside, what kind of person would it take to save the world from dangerous criminals, jump out of airplanes and undergo extensive martial arts training, risk debilitating injury and face certain death, and keep coming back to it, day after day after day?
The return ping wasn't pretty.

Kim Possible (C) Disney
============
Some get their buzz with heroin. Others, methamphetamine. For this AU Kim Possible, it's adrenaline.
She still has a soul - the world saving is there - but the altruism is only a happy byproduct in her quest to keep her heart racing. Occasional mission partner Ron Stoppable, able to survey her spiral from a vantage impossible for a close friend, tries to warn her just how powerfully - alluringly - the abyss can stare back, but... to no avail.
And so, like any addiction, it begins to corrode her from the inside out. Fighting crime by night means she's wasted during the day; her grades are tanking, her family life is in tatters, it's getting harder and harder for her to tell the difference between herself and the darkness she's fighting. She hops from boyfriend to boyfriend, desperately trying to recreate the rush, but finds that she..... can't. Pushing higher and harder and faster, she tries to plug the giant sucking sound that is her life with a shining glaze of endorphins.
But jetpacks can't fly forever. At some level, Kim knows this - is self-aware of exactly what's happening to her. She begins to split in two, the adrenaline junkie battling for dominance against the high-school home-girl. The winner? Well..... time to stop reading and click play.
