Looking through some pics at dA, I saw this Zutara pic and, well... Wow.Just ... wow. Katara as a late twentysomething is ... well, let's just say I'd love to be in Zuko place in that pic. ;D That depiction of Katara may just fulfill my idea on the physically perfect woman. Then again, I'm not sure it's too healthy to be crushing over all drop-dead gorgeous fictional characters as it could give someone too high a standard when looking for a mate, ignoring all the wonderful RL people out there who they'd be perfectly happy with. That said, I wonder if this is a good place to show off my pics of Zita... I even gave Zita a mom, and wanted to make sure it was clear where Zita got her looks from. I wonder if I did that a little bit too well. I'm against adultery, and I don't think I'd be comfortable dating someone from my parents' generation, but if I were in my 40s, and she were a widow... (Also, I'm not a "baby got back" kind of guy, but is it just me, or is there something about her culo that begs to be touched...)

Gasp - someone noticed! Actually, I'd be the first to admit that I do have a thing for girls with brownish skin - in fact, I think it's terrible that in places such as India and the Philippines there are products for brown-skinned people to make their skinned lighter, when in my preference (at least the girls) should be doing the opposite! (Especially with black hair. Black hair + brown skin = hotness! ;D ) That said, I've been attracted to white girls and such (note Gina Holden, Mrs. Incredible, etc.) Though, for some reason, I'm not really attracted to black women; however, that is purely a personal preference, and I have no problem whatsoever to a guy having a thing for black girls, or a girl being attracted to black guys. (If I objected to the latter, I wouldn't have drawn this!) Also, I'm not sure if the trope "Ambiguously Brown" can describe the characters I mentioned. Zita is definitely Hispanic (although her origin and racial makeup is not specified, she's probably a mestiza), and Katara is basically Inuit ... as for RL people, while it is true that Vanessa Hudgens and Kristen Kreuk are both multi-racial (the latter is Chinese and Dutch, while the former has a smorgasboard of races in her blood), Parminder Nagra is Indian (Punjab to be precise) ... again, it does disappoint me that most of the Latina celebrities seem to be lighter-skinned.

I don't think it fits too well either, but at the time I made that post the only two sites I could think of to link to were TVTropes or a page on a website cataloging fetishes that dealt with skin color/ethnicity. Make no mistake though, you're not the only one here who can appreciate women with a darker skin tone. Unfortunately, this is probably the only picture of Halibel I could find that doesn't show off how little clothing she usually wears. Seriously, it's like her power is the ability to lose more and more of her clothes until she has just enough left to technically not be naked. And what kind of Avatar fan would I be if I showed no Katara? The hair loop things are nice, but she really needs to be wearing it down much more often!Ruthless imperialism sparked by rapid industrialization aside, I think that Fire Nation fashion is one of their greatest innovations and a gift that the rest of the world MUST HAVE!
