Mary had at least on kid named James, he's mentioned in the Bible. And being Mary's son, he would also be Jesus' brother (half maybe, because Joseph wasn't Jesus' dad?).

Oh BOY ;D Theology ;D Wheeeee!I am christian but I donĀ“t care so much about religion because 60% of all war is about religion. IMHO Only Politics does that. Unfortunately, 60% of war-like politicians are religious! If Jesus is God, then why does he still Pray to God? Something to think about .... I LOVE thinking about the Mystery of the Trinity!!! Jesus appears to be omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and have many other God-like abilities but was He an avatar or a divine prophet? It is very likely that a man did live and did preach the "Good News" but was he special? I would say yes. The only thing I disagree with is God being omniscient. I believe nothing can know everything. It doesn't seem right for Him to know who will sin before it happens, which provides no free will to us. well,, God made al of us... and he may KNOW what we are gonna do... but we chose to do it.. he just knows we will. it is totally our own actions, and he totally knows wutz comin up. Perhaps, but it is the fact that God created the Universe, in which He then knows all possible outcomes of everything. So if someone were to make a decision, God would already know about it, and God has set up all the factors that affected that decision, it is not up to us but to God to decide how we choose. Wow, he answered his own question! Perhaps, but it is the fact that God created the Universe, in which He then knows all possible outcomes of everything. So if someone were to make a decision, God would already know about it, and God has set up all the factors that affected that decision, it is not up to us but to God to decide how we choose. If that were true, none of us would be here. The only reason we are on this earth is because He wanted to give us a choice: heaven or hell; those who believe on His Son go to heaven... the rest go to hell. OUR choice. If He had made it were He decided, we would have all been created in heaven. o and God set up the factors for our choice, and based on that choice, the domino affect begins. right... we're stepping up- wrong.. we're rapidly falling. that is- rejecting Christ or accepting Him. But God won't easily give up on you. He'll keep knocking on ur door for quite some time. But he wont force his way in. It's a one-doorknob door, and its on ur side. OPEN UP! ~K~<3 God is on your side. Are you on his? If that were true, none of us would be here. The only reason we are on this earth is because He wanted to give us a choice: heaven or hell; those who believe on His Son go to heaven... the rest go to hell. OUR choice. If He had made it were He decided, we would have all been created in heaven. All I'm saying is God cannot know everything, otherwise what I said before would be true. As such an example: "There is a light switch on the wall; God may either turn it on, or leave it off; but, since God already knows the future, God knows that he will turn it on. That is part of his knowledge. But what if God exercises freewill, and chooses not to turn it on. Is this possible?" So if God knows everything He would have to observe everything, since all His choices are already made. That is unless he isn't omniscient. Here's where Quantum String theory comes in! Every choice results in multiple universes where each choice was made. God knows all those universes. Debates can go anywhere... the truth remains. AMENJesus was black, as where most people B.C. (well, i believe he was) Quite possible, he certainly wasn't European White Jesus had 12 buddies which are known as his disciples. That's the Apostles. His Disciples are uncounted. He once sent 72 of them on a mission at once. Jesus was born in the year 0. That was intended, but calendar mix up has it happening (around) 4 BCE Christian belief Jesus was male (contrary to popular believe) I'm obviously not popular Jesus woke people from the dead. One of them was a friend of him. I believe John the Babtist (?) Not John. Lazarus, and some others Jesus was a skilled wood-worker, trained by his paps. Gospel Jesus cried blood the night before he was killed. This does happen when people are extremely scared (of death). Actually, he SWEAT blood. It has been known to happen in times of great stress. Geeh. I can tell a ton more... Do tell! Denominations make me angry, Christians aren't supposed to be devicive amongst themselves. Just because you disagree on areas of divine silence doesn't make someone else wrong! AMEN

Umm, we're getting a lot of stuff about religion, when the truth of the matter is, Christianity is NOT a religion, it's a relationship! That's what the word "Religion" means! And let's straighten another thing out: You are not a Christian if you have not humbled yourself before Him, confessed your sin, admitted you are not a good person, and have asked Him to take over. (Or along those lines) True enough Even then, You might have assurance of going to heaven, therefore being "saved," but are you really a "Little Christ," if you get saved and then say, "Okay, I'm good now," and then walk off in the wrong direction? Amen, backsliding happens And as for taking His name in vain, whose fault is that? Not His. It's not good, and it is not of God. Really, if you claim not to believe in God, yet you curse by Him every day, what does that mean? ~K~<3 That you are MESSED UP

HEY! It wasn't the right season! Bluntly, I think Jesus was a great guy, whose teachings were corrupted by those who claimed to follow him. I'm not even going to go into my opinion of "God" now. If you really want to know (and I doubt many of the people in this thread would want to), you can search for it. That COULD have been a metaphor about "bearing good fruit". After all, what good is a follower that doesn't provide results? They might - corrupt his message or something!

My second hobby! ;D Only KP matters more as a hobby these days!
On the sub-topic of brothers: The Hebrews had no word for "cousin" in their language during the time of Christ's walk on the Earth. They therefore used the same term for "brother" as they did "My mother's brother's son" and several other possible long descriptions. Based upon this fact, the "brothers" found in scripture could be any relation to Jesus; "stepbrother", "cousin", "4th Cousin three times removed", etc. The "son of Mary", could have been the son of any Mary, it doesn't specify.
