Yes, consider this to be the maybe-possibly-could-be-almost-IdunnosinceI'mtheonemakingit-official rs.net thread about My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Feel free to talk about the show, who's your favourite pony and all that stuff... or create chaos with thousands of pictures of ponies - I'm none too fussed - Either way, It'll probably be 20% more awesome. So go on, don't be afraid,

I first saw this show on Sunday and now on Friday, I've seen all aired episodes as of right now, and I'm totally into it.
My favourite is Applejack and I love that she grabs people by their tails and calls people "Sugarcube" and is sometimes called AJ.
I actually love all of the main six ponies, but like, the top three are AJ, Fluttershy, and Twilight. I find I can relate to them or something similar.
"Winter Wrap Up" is a fabulous song is it not?

I don't know what it is about the show, but HNNGGGHHH I just love it so much and I'm not ashamed to say it. I think it's because that it's not your average trash that most Kid's Shows are these days. The writing, jokes, characters and episodes are all so well written that it not only appeals to it's target audience but older people as well. And to me that's a good sign of a good series. And like ABL said, I really do love all the characters, any other show and they all would've been flat and one dimensional, and sure sometimes they do kind of come off as stereotypes but it's balanced out by the writing, jokes and the fact that they all actually have personalities. It helps that they're adorable too. But if I had to choose, I like Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy the most, everyone else is still fantastic though. The fandom doesn't seem to be real bad either, I dunno maybe I just haven't done enough lurking on the internet to see all the really odd/horrible stuff. I mean yeah I've seen some of the Grimdark stuff and the really wierd Rule 34 and disturbing trends people like to do with the characters. But from what I see everyone seems to just be good hearted, and a lot of the MLP Fanart and such that I've found have provided a lot of good laughs, in a good way that is. I don't know if I'd be actually joining any My Little Pony Forums, like I've done with Kim Possible, but for now I'm just enjoying the shows and all the content the fans are producing so far. Okay, serious talk over.

For me, what provided the impetus to see this show was This fanart that Shadi shared with me (I love this picture so much I requested a story at a community I frequent on LJ) and the fact that my teenaged second cousin also was into this show and just was bombarding me with AMVs and talk of the show on Sunday, and I was like, I AM EVEN MORE INTRIGUED. Plus, a few people in my ask me thread kept talking about it. And I agree with Funky about the show being so well-written. I'm of the opinion that if you show me something that has characters I can like and care about and is well-written and I can enjoy watching, then yeah, I like it. And this show has that. I love these characters, I'm interested in the goings on. Hell, the fact that the show has made me cry at least twice: Friendship Is Magic - Part 2 (Elements of Harmony) made me cry towards the end and I think Fluttershy's cutie mark story made me cry a bit, followed by a bit towards the end of The Cutie Mark Chronicles. I've only been watching since Sunday, and I'm a fan and that says a great deal. I tend to fall quickly for shows (Bones took a few episodes, Kim Possible took a couple of weeks...) I also love the little things. Like that Applejack and other girls will bite on tails of their friends to stop them from going off or Spike will ride on Twilight's back a lot, and that Applejack is called AJ sometimes (Ron, it's so your fault that I like initials, and this forum probably). And for some reason, I love it when they run. Like when they're all running in A Dog and Pony Show when Rarity is in danger. It's so awesome.

Okay, finally saw the most recent episode. Watching Pinkie Pie go batshit insane was both hilarious and terrifying.

Yeah, I got a real big Cupcakes Vibe from it. I was laughing the whole time as soon as it started, Pinkie and Gummy were just so fun.

Aaand it's done. *sadface* Another pony goes off the deep end. 2 down, 4 to go... I loved when Fluttershy was losing her marbles over that particular thing. Oh, Fluttershy. Also, I love that Spike's at a diner eating doughnuts. So adorable. Also, LOVED LOVED the girls in their outfits. They were beautiful. Applejack and her braids.

Good grief Fluttershy was hilarious, and I just thought how odd it was for ponies looking for other ponies to pull their carriage.

It kind of makes sense... it's happened before.
I do like the two male ponies took offense with little Spike doing a whip type of motion.

Huh, well I guess it's not as wierd then. But then again I don't know if I'd be comfortable with the idea of someone pulling me in a half wagon as a mode of transportation.
