For now. They haven't a damn clue what they're doing, they're just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. Her ult has just barely more range than Flash, which, coupled with the fact they can now see you coming, means you can easily bait out her ultimate and boom, I'd say it makes her more worthless, but I've seen her current kit, it doesn't change much. Her old ult refreshed on kills and assists, meaning you were MORE likely to get your attack speed boost in a fight multiple times than the new one. She doesn't have any CC immunity, despite what you may think, because she is not Gangplank. She can tank slows, that's literally all. And her Hate Spike worked like Zyra's plants. I see no one complaining about how her plants target people. Person you attack, if not, nearest target.

...wow, Iris is furious.
You obviously never tried jungling old Eve and had her hate spikes constantly hit the lizards. It was ludicrously unreliable. Her old ult might have procced more than once a fight, but good luck with that, what with her having no damage output to speak of until late game. This new ult can and should be used to open the fight, so no, they won't see you coming. Bam, nuked, slowed, Eve has a huge shield, her TF or LB is already primed, and unless she's saving it for a slow, now she's kissing 600 ms in a beeline towards you with another nuke and a guaranteed hit on her Q. But even if it's early game, she's got the AOE nukeslowshield, and because Hate Spike and Ravage scale off everything, whether you want to do hybrid, AP, or AD, you'll have Masteried and Runed appropriately and you've got free starting ratios on all your damaging abilities.
User error, my boy. They are quite specifically programmed to hit your target and the nearest applicable target. And I know the answer to this one: what is an assist? And yes, they will see you coming, because her reveal range is shorter than the radius of her ultimate and thus, the juking issue I mentioned. Bam, kited, her ult is wasted, Eve has no shield, her TF or LB is primed but she's not in range to use it and her movespeed is nowhere near 600 because not only of diminishing returns but also because she hasn't been able to hit you because of the rather easily baited ultimate failing to slow you and so she has to try to rush towards you with her weaker Q and E abilities. And even if it was early game, she had the health refresh, more spammable slow and just plain superior Q and Es, and because Ravage and Hate Spike now scale off of bonus AD and AP, you are actually hindered rather than if they scaled on just one of them because they have to nerf ratios to balance. And because no champion in the history of LoL has ever had any benefit from getting runes and masteries set up, Eve is clearly a unique champion now with her ability to start with the exact same pittance of AD and AP all other champions including old Eve can get from masteries and runes.

Iris is going to grow feet just to attack Sale.
You seem to assume even a pro is going to be set and ready for that split second between Eve's reveal and Eve's ult. Human reaction time won't allow for that. If Eve fails to land it, THAT is user error, not the unreliability of her old Hate Spike. Furthermore, Ravage's AP ratio has not been nerfed. Two hits at .5 AP ratio each? Do the math, Swordyboy. It's still an epic nuke. Yes, it's now harder to take advantage of, but it's still easily doable. Your issue seems to be that Eve is now more geared towards helping in teamfights in addition to assassinations, as opposed to being a pure assassin, like before. GOOD. Pure assassins are darn near useless in our growing meta of CC and AOE. Look at Akali. Rylai's + Ult = teamfight is pretty much won, and the rest of her kit still allows her to be a great assassin. She just has to use her gap closer to close the gap, instead of nuking right on top of people. Eve is now in a place where she has a nuke leading into an AS boost, and abilities that scale off AD, allowing her to be a rapid fire IE machine WHILE using Hate Spike to constantly proc TF. I like it when they scream.
The problem with your thinking is that it is not a "split second". It at least a second. Her reveal radius is at least 800 units, while her ult is 500 units. The scenario you describe, that of Eve suddenly appearing and ulting? Yeah, that presumes the enemy doesn't move while you derpily make your way over. In this perfect world, where your enemy is no doubt drooling on their keyboard, old Eve is STILL better, because she was pubstomping. Her old Hate Spike had logic to it that you clearly just didn't know how to use - it attacks your target and the second nearest viable target. Ravage's AP ratio has not been nerfed, but it's base ratio has been nerfed, and it doesn't help Hate Spike spamming with resistance shreding any more, which, coupled with the fact it now has a fraction of the range, means it has been nerfed. And the problem of your comparison between Akali and Eve is that Akali actually has the ability to get close to the enemy. Eve has the opposite of a gap closer. Eve was in a place where she had a nuke leading into a resistance shred which was better than scaling off of AD because you did more damage even if AD against even pure tanks. Time to feed indeed.

...is Iris considering it?
Some of us mained Lux for the better part of a year, and thus can fairly reliably land skillshots and AOE spells. Don't blame Eve for your shortcomings! You also rather underestimate the viability of Eve's reveal range, of coming through the back of minion waves, or simply of not emerging right from the edge of the fog of war. It's people like you who thought she was UP waaaay back when. In fact, you ultimately just seem to be too focused on how playing Eve used to be like, and fail to see how useful she is now. Why do you hate AOE, LS? What has AOE done to you?
Clearly not, Mr "HATE SPIKE DOESN'T WORK", despite the fact it has targetting logic that you seem to not have understood. And it doesn't make a damn difference where you come from, because your reveal radius is exactly the same. It's people like me who think Eve was more viable "waaaay back when". And the flaw in your argument, that I am focused on playing Eve how she used to be? I don't play Eve. I've never played Eve. That's how I'm able to look at this objectively. You like her more now because she feels better, not because she is better. The only thing the rework did was buff AD Eve, and it didn't even do a decent job of that.
