I love the prequels as equally as the Old Trilogy. I think people are upset because it focuses too much on the story of Anakin rathar than teh wars...but that's why we have the EU...plus there will be a lot of focus on the wars on the upcoming tv show. Episode I, had a grandiose duel and a unique look at what the Jedi Council is like during peace time, an intro to the awesome Jedi Master, Qui Gon and a really cool battle between culture and technology! I enjoyed this when it first came out and I was in second grade, but today, three word ruin it. Three words are: Jar Jar Binks. "Emo" Anakin, lashing out at Padme. Yoda is suddenly an action hero, taking away much of his credibility as a calm mentor. Well, I can agree on this one, it was cool. The big payoff to slogging through I and II. However, IMO, none of the prequels lived up to even ROTJ, save episode III. The others, I'd rather do a back to back of the Star Wars Muppet Show episode and the Holiday Special. Of course, the former isn't painful to me, being a Muppet fan more than a Star Wars fan.

I will give the new trilogy one thing - those graphics are AWESOME. And tell me "Duel of Fates" and "Battle of the Heroes" gets you pumped up. I would rather go along the lines of "Across the Stars" .. I just completed KOTOR for the 23rd time yesterday... hah .. all Hail Darth Revan, Dark Lord of the Sith! ;D We need a Star Wars Online Gaming session. Us Star Wars fan battling each other on a Dedicated Server. Might I suggest Battlefront 2? Anyways ... My favourite Lightsaber form is Form I: Shii-Choo .. just so you know. I practice it all the time .. and yes, I know how to Sword fight, seriously.

I voted "it's ok". I liked the movies, but never became a fan of it.

Jar Jar Bink's character was a downer but even so episode I might be the weakest of the six films but thats not to say its not watchable.
The attack of the clones was that transition phase from the peaceful era to a more troubled and tense one. Having Yoda being able to fight fits in with the Mentor archetype. He is part warrior, part priest, and part surrogate parent. I don't see a problem with that.
As for Anakin being an emo kid, to quote Kevin Smith in the Star Wars: Legacy revealed special "Some people would be like oh he's too whiny. Why would the galaxy's greatest villain be some whiny teenager? That's who the galaxy's greatest villain would be! He would start as a whiny teenager. He would start as an emo kid with some issues."

I didn't like the 'Wars' so much as the story going on inside of them. The original trilogy was neat because they didn't have so much "cool graphics" to fall back on so the movie was more carried by the story than the special effects to go with it. If that makes sense. I loved the banter between Leia and Han and... Yeah. Not saying the new ones have a bad story. I just don't like it as much.
Little Anakin was a cutey. Teenage Anakin was a little too angsty and whiny but I guess it makes sense in a way. His issues fuel his darkside or something like that.
And I did love seeing Yoda kick some rear. I love Yoda.

If you look at it closely the whole story revolves around two characters who sets out on the hero's journey. Anakin Skywalker and his son Luke. For Anakin the story is his fall and redemption, for Luke its the story of redeeming his father and showing that he is more then just his father's son. And the "Wars" part is essential. Star Wars much like its name applies is filled to the brim with it. The Mandalorian Wars, the Jedi Civil War, The hyper-space war, the Clone Wars, the Galactic civil war, the yuuzhan vong war, etc. War equals conflict. Conflict brings much needed change for our characters.

They were so cute...but when I was little (I've been a Star Wars fan since I was five...) I didn't know they were ewoks. I kept calling them "Teddy Bear People".

Don't the ewoks have their own little spin off movie? I thought that was a cartoon? You know what...not once did the word "ewok" was mentioned in ROTJ now that I thought about it. I think the only reason we know they are ewoks is because of the toys, novels, and other stuff.

On the side note, What kind of profession would you guys have in the Star Wars universe and why? Yes this can include being a Jedi or Sith.

I'd probably end up working in a cantina. I would suck at being a Jedi because I'm over emotional, and am not good at controlling it (I used to be able to, but I came off so cold and callous that no one ever talked to me). I couldn't be Sith because I can't hurt someone if there's no reason...and if there is a reason, it better be a really really good one. ...Just not a nerf-herder. What planet do you think you'd be from? And this is sort of on topic - Does anyone else like The Saga Begins by Weird Al Yankovic?

I just like Ode to a superhero better mainly because I prefer the piano man as oppose to American Pie. As for planets...I'd love to be from Dantooine. Lush grasslands. Or from Naboo. Beautiful place of lakes and forests.
