Oh, I'd have to say Mufasa. The first time I saw that scene in the movie theater I got a little teary eyed.

Without a doubt it's the kid from Grave of the Fireflies. It tells you she dies right at the beggining of the film but when that moment actually came I bawled like a baby. I can't even think of that scene without tears coming to my eyes, even now I can feel them coming. Anyone who loves a good cry needs to see that film.
I need to watch it again actually, but I know that I'll feel depressed for days afterwards.

I've said it before, but just cause I think he needs a rallying battle cry, MUUU-FASAAA! Close but no cigar kiddo, Grave of the Fireflies is far sadder, and Mufasa's death isn't even the saddest on this list (though it's darn close). Little Foot's mother is just slightly sadder.

LOL! I was thinking 'Littlefoot's mother' even as I clicked on the thread, and sure enough...there it was. Hands down, man. Hands down. ;D I was five or six the first time I was exposed to her death, and I didn't even see the movie then, I just listened to an audio book of the movie, for crying out loud, and even so it was incredibly sad. Everyone who's seen The Land Before Time remembers that, no matter how young they were. *sobbbbbbbbbb* The first movie (animated or otherwise) to ever make me cry was The Last Unicorn, though. It wasn't any particular scene, I just remember that the entire movie just felt so sad.

I voted Hazel even though I read the book and didn't see the film yet. (I intend too)
Hazel-rah will always be remembered in stories, like El-airah, and that made me happy - he left a great legacy for rabbits- but I was sad to see him go.

This is hard....
Let's see,.. I never really cried during Bambi, although it was freakishly sad. Expecially after when he was walking around calling out, "Mother, Mother" Oh god D,: And then his dad comes up and is all, "YOUR MOTHER IS NOT HERE." Geezus, dude. haha xd
Uhm, the first few times I watched "The Fox and the Hound" (still one of my fav Disney movies.. and I will NEVER watch the sequal, because I REFUSE to ruin the classic for myself) .. I was too young to understand that she was killed. It's sad, yes, but we really didn't learn much about her, so, we didn't have this kind of attachment.
The Lion King is my all time favorite movie.... period. Not fav Disney movie.. but fav movie OF ALL TIME. And that's a tough call with all the amazing movies I've seen. It really says something. I remember as a little kid crying my eyes out when Mufasa died and Scar yelled at Simba to "LEAVE AND NEVER RETURN". And how poor Simba was lying there cuddled close to Mufasa when he died :,C And how Mufasa sacrificed his life for his son..... D,:
The Land Before Time is another one of my all time favorite movies. IT'S A CLASSIC. I think what saddens me the most right now is the fact that the little girl, Judith Barsi, who played Ducky, was brutally murdered (as was her mom) by her father when she was only like.. 10 (actually.. the 19th anniversary of her death is coming up soon :,C). Her father then killed himself in their garage. She died right before TLBT came out. Ducky wass her fav character to play.. and her tombstone says, "Our Concrete Angel - Yup Yup Yup" (after the song and Ducky's classic saying). D,: But, anyways, I didn't entirely understand the first time I saw the movie what had happened, but.. afetr a few more watches, I got that his Mom had died, and he was all by himself. It really depressed me. But, the fact that her spirit lived on with him was quite moving and inspirational. I actually own like.. 10 of the 12 movies xD Haha.. I'm such a geek. I totally loved Chomper too! Annddd I'm watching the tv series now... i have it recorded on my DVR. THAT'S RIGHT. THEY HAVE A TV SERIES. WHAT-WHAT!
All of Watership Down was just horribly depressing.
Overall.. I'd have to say Mufasa :C
