I'm a Detroit Tigers fan but I'm one of the few non Giants fans who think Bonds is amazing. Steroids don't hit home runs. You have to have a great swing to hit home runs. Plus nobody knows if Hank Aaron ever cheated either.
Congrats Barry!

As a braves fan you think I'd be sad to see Hank's record broken, but I'm just glad I was able to watch one of the greatest hitters of all time. And the steroids thing, well I think Andrew Jones said it best when he said "Lots of guys take steroids and don't hit 756 home runs." One of the greatest of all time.

Red do you think Jones stays a brave? He's starting to turn it around this season. He did cost himself a lot of money with his performance a lot of the season. The Tigers absolutely killed Jones in that series early in the season.

I can't stand Bonds cos he's so freaking cocky, but steroids would help cos I assume any baseball player in the pros HAS to have a good swing. It's still an accomplishment nontheless, but it'd be more dignified without the roids :P

As a Giants fan I'm very happy for him. I'm glad this happened, now maybe people around here will stop complaining about our football team haha.
Uh oh.....Barry hit number 756 in the 5th inning:
7+5+6+5=23
AAHHH!

Ichiro kicked some arse in the All-Star Game, I think.

Ichiro Suzuki hit the Major's 1st and only Inside the Park Homerun in an All Star game. He's also an amazing hitter who has broken the most Hits record in a season (twice actually surpassing his previously set record the next season)
Baseball (and sports in general) is a huge passion of people. People are mad at Barry Bonds because he took the greatest game in America and pretty much got away with cheating, in causing him to break probably the most sacred and amazing achievement in all of Sports. The Most Home Runs. And that he took it from a guy like Hank Aaron, who never had a season where he hit over 40 homeruns, who always talked to the fans and the media and never showed off.
I mean its one thing for it to be broken. Alex Rodriguez will break it before his career is over, and Ken Girffy Jr Probably would have already if it wasnt for like 4 straight years of season ending injuries, and even more years keeping him out of the line up for extended periods of time. The Difference of these 2 to Bonds though is that they are players that embody the game. The gu8ys that go out and sign autographs for the Kids, who do everything legit, who go out and do it for the fans. Bonds Cheated, He ignores nearly all his fans, never says anything to the media, and just acts selfish. This is why its a huge deal.

Bleh! Doesn't seem right that someone like him gets to take the record from somebody like Hank Aaron. Well I think this is the first time we ever disagreed. I don't like Bonds as a person. From everything I have heard he is not a nice person. Still im looking at this from a baseball perspective and not a "Would i want to have a steak with the guy" way.

I dislike baseball in general, and have for quite a long time. It didn't start with the strikes, but those were the final nail.

I am a doomed Fan as a Loyal Cubs fan:( Tigers are playing the Cubs in the world series this year. Seriously the NL is horrible this year. Milwaukee lost there 4th in a row today. If the cubs could just win one game they would be in first. lol. If I was the cubs I would only be concerned about the Braves but the Braves still have some ground to make up on the mets.
